Webkinz Expire

I ahve not checked the WEbkinz site yet... can anyone tell me if the webkinz really expire. We bought DD some last year for Christmas and she has a few from her birthday etc....What happens when they expire. Will only the ones she got for Chrismtas disappear. Will they all stay since we have others????

What my girls do is register one (they have one year after registration before they expire). Then right before it expires buy a bunch of stuff with the points (the kids'll understand) and gift it to the new registrant. THey just hoard their still it's time to expire.

Could you explain that a little better? DD is going to get DGD 2 for Christmas.. She received several last Christmas - as well as one on Valentine's Day.. So - do the oldest ones eventually disappear - or do they stay as long as you keep registering new ones?

I think that stinks that they "expire"..

The pets dont ever disappear- You just need to add at least one pet a year to keep the whole account active.. Say you added a tiger on dec 25, a cat on April 10 and a lion on Sept 10- All your critters are good until Sept 10- If you then buy a dragon on Aug 1 of next year all 4 critters then are good till Aug 1...

You keep all of the Webkinz you've every registered as long as the last time you LOGGED ON to Webkinz is within a year's time frame from the last purchase. That's how I understand it to be and we're going on a few years here.

Here is the answer from the webkinz page...

"When you adopt a Webkinz pet, you get to play in Webkinz World for one year. At the end of the year, you can adopt a new pet onto your Webkinz World account. This will renew your account and all the Webkinz pets on it for one more year. Each time you adopt a new Webkinz pet, your account will be extended for a year from the date of adoption. Please note that the years are not cumulative (so, if you adopt a pet on May 2, 2006, your whole account will be renewed until May 2, 2007. The account is only renewed for one year, regardless of how many Webkinz pets you adopt at once)."
