Has anyone redeemed their points for a Webbie? How do these work and what is the charge for getting it on a card? Thanks.

Does anyone but me ever post just to see their countdown timer? LOL

A webbie is like an online mastercard, BUT you can get the plastic card for a fee ($6.95). If you don't get the plastic card, you can still use your webbie, but only online and in some other limited circumstances - I've never tried it, but I've seen people talk about it. I think it's well worth the $6.95 to get the plastic card, and refill and refill and refill it.

I get webbies all the time but I never get the plastic card - I just shop online.

How do you refill the card?

There's a couple different ways.
1) When you get your webbie in your email, it gives you a link to the webcertificate site. You put in your user name and password, and voila! your new webbie is added to your old one. So you don't have to buy a new card each time. It just stacks up!
2) The other way is to buy webbies. Go to the webcertificate site and "add funds". There is a limit on how many times you can do this. I believe it's dependent on how many webbies you've earned. I did it some months ago before I went on vacation so I could just take one credit card. It works wonderfully.

Just remember there is a fee to add funds to your account if you're not redeeming a certificate but using your own credit card to add funds.

That's nifty. I wondered about having to carry numberous cards, and later having to make purchases with multiple cards. It makes sense now. ::yes::

just make a copy of your account page from webcertificates that shows your name accc# exp date and such
take that to TDS and have them run it through manually and buy $DD that way

only once did I have a CM insists she needed the plastic card so I just went to another store and it was put through with no problems

it may be alittle work but it saves on the $6.95 charge and with the way things are going it takes forever to earn the fee for the card

good luck

let me know if this works for you

I've done this 6 times already:Pinkbounc

Thanks for the replies. I think that I am going to cash in my points for the webbie. It sounds like the best deal for my points. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I haven't done it, but others have. You just call them up and give them the Webcert. account # (that looks like a MasterCard number).

I've used my WC plastic card to make a payment on a room (since it is a MasterCard)... piece of cake.

I've had my plastic card for a couple of years now - and love it. I usually run a couple hundred dollars through it each year - I only do rewards sites that offer WC.

For the most part I use the WC to purchase Disney Dollars.

I know that memolink offers webbies as payout, but they take forever to pay! not sure which other points programs offer webbies.

Creationsrewards and they're pretty good about paying out - they say 30 days... and it takes that long...
