Hello!!

Has anyone booked directly through Disney on their website?

Or is it best to call Central Reservations?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I've always used the web-sight for both WDW and DL trips.

The only thing I would never book is airfare they are normally 1 stops and High

They're no longer booking free dining on the website. I guess the extention hasn't taken effect. Do you think the website will be updated soon?

I think they are out of rooms .Call CRO they save some for just phone booking but I've seen other threads that things are filling up .

I booked one trip via the website, and it was pretty handy. Since then, we've done most of them on our own - point rentals at DVC (then bought our own :) ), drive down usually, Annual Passes, etc.

However, I believe it was on WDW Today a while back that calling can get you a better deal than the website because you can ask for special discounts and stuff that aren't made available online. Meaning, there's nowhere to enter a code or even see if there's one available. The CM on the phone can do that for you. :thumbsup2

Do you have to ask the CM for special codes? Or do they do it for you automatically?

I as understand it, you've got to ask (or know the code). Disney isn't going to just offer up something cheaper, afterall. :)

Mousesavers.com is a great place to go code hunting.

Can you call CRO just for pricing of a trip? Or do you need to be ready to book?

Hey Wazzo...
I always booked thru the website, but this year my bf is booking the trip thru a travel agent (I wasnt supposed to know about the trip) anyway, I never had a problem and I never had to ask for codes they usually just gave them to me. If they dont tell you then make sure you ask, if you feel like they are not giving you a code, then just say your not interested in booked right now and call right back. You will get another CM and hopefully they will give you different advise. :bounce:

Whoa, whoa...I'm just a guy who posts here, not a CM at the CRO! :)

Honestly, I've never booked through CRO, so no idea. Besides, mousesavers, this board, Google, the Disney web site will give you a pretty good idea on what rates are available before calling to book...or deciding to book.

I booked through the WDW resorts site, after checking any other option I could come up with (including my employer). I also checked for airline tickets seperately, because I thought that I could beat WDWs quote on air. Once I found the flights/airline that I wanted, I used that info, and booked all on the WDWR site. Their price was the same as any of the best deals I could come up with, and I felt comfortable using them. :goodvibes
If you can't find the free dining now, I would just call to book.
