Osceola Parkway could have continued right past Animal Kingdom Lodge and connected with Rte. 192 and the overpass just to the left (south) of the AK parking toll plaza suggests this was once a plan. Instead Osceola fizzles out just past AKL. There is room there for another resort.
The current west entrance (Disney's Western Way to north-south Rte. 429 Western Beltway) is less conducive to traffic simply cutting through Disney to and from unrelated locations. The addition of development and traffic lights may make it less conducive still but may also send some Disney traffic back to I-4 to come in by the older entrances.
Getting to this back entrance to Disney via 429 from the turnpike is a great time saver, as we can totally avoid Rt4. If they build that area up with shopping and such, it will become a big bottleneck trying to get in the "back" way. It is soooo quiet and desolete back there now. I guess we will just enjoy it while we can.
