Weatherproofing boots (Ugg knockoffs) - any hints?

I got some weatherproof spray (for waterproofing) for my "fugg" boots (Dawgs) today. It said to spray once and then spray again in 4 hours, holding the can 7-10 inches away from the boots.

Does this spray really work? I have never used it and hope it is $ well spent. I refuse to wear the boots unless they are protected from the elements, as it is always horrible weather from October-April in our area.

Did you weatherproof your Ugg or Ugg-type boots? Did it prevent the boots from looking all gross and worn after they got wet?

DD has authentic Uggs. I bought an Uggs care kit at the same time I bought the boots and after we got home, I sprayed them. They still look good, but it has only been a few weeks. Once they dry, you can't see they've been wet at all.

At first I used the Ugg spray, and then a hint I read online led me to use Scotchguard, and it works just as well.. However, I won't wear the suede style in wet or snow.. (only if caught by surprise) I live in Snow man's land, and wear the Adirondack Uggs in such weather..

I don't know the brand you mention, but between my daughter and myself we have several of the suede style.. I agree with the PP, once they dry, you can't tell

I got these. I like the fact that they are entirely man-made, and the insides are so soft! They do not have that bulk-type feeling that the Bearpaw and Uggs have inside. And the price was pretty good too, LOL.

Cute, Chestnut is my FAVORITE color.. They wouldn't hold up here.. I tell you one thing, I know UGGS are expensive, but this is my 6th year with my original tall pair, and they look amazing! So, I average out the cost, and divide by year, and that is how I justify
