We're a week out from our visit and I just checked the 10 day forecast for Orlando.

I'm used to seeing 30% chance of rain/thunderstorms, and take that as pretty much normal Florida weather - meaning we should expect a downpour in the afternoons. That does not bother me / scare me off.

But the app is currently showing low 90s with a 60% chance of rain / thunderstorms for the days that it covers so far. Any ideas what we should expect? I don't remember the forecasts for our last trip, but it was drizzly and cool (70s) all week, which made for nearly empty parks. I can dig that, a lot. It was the best theme park trip we've ever done. We had just one day where it was torrential downpours and general nastiness, which I could pass on this trip.

I'm thinking the higher heat will mean more humidity and I don't know how much rain to actually expect. Can anyone give me insight into what type of weather we should pack for / expect based on the current forecast?

it rains in june and the summer months.
take a poncho.

i always wonder about the weather prior to a trip also.
weather changes so frequently, so i expect anything to happen while there on vacation.

*10* days out, not 19, doh!

Yeah, after I posted, I checked around a little more and started thinking. Nothing will change with packing and stuff, and we may have to go in and out of the parks if the rain is really heavy for long periods. I do hope the humidity stays lower for dh's sake. Got ponchos. Got Keens for all of us. Got dri-fit clothes, socks and undies (even bras). We'll be fine. :)

Sounds like you're prepared for anything :thumbsup2

Really I don't check the weather till 3 days out since it changes daily ...I know you're going to have a blast no matter what rain may fall:umbrella:

We did Disney in May 2009 it rained everyday off and on, a few times downpours and one night thunder/lightening lol Word around the boards at that time was a lot of people cancelling/rescheduling their trips. This was the last week of May with Memorial Day in the mix, we had a blast! We were able to still ride everything, lucky for us the majority of the time the showers popped up when we had our ADR's so we stayed dry :) I say just be prepared to get wet, bring ponchos/rain jackets and extra clothes if need be and have fun! :) We're going next week, last I checked it's 50% every day but scattered I think.

We were at Disney 2 weeks after you guys, and it was miserably hot - over 110F in the parks the whole week. I think we would have welcomed some additional rain!
