So I hate checking weather and I know it can always change but next week and T-Storms is getting me upset. We planned lower-key Disney this year (3 park days instead of 5) so we can hang by pool.

We went first week of May last year and got totally spoiled - high 80's each day, not as humid and NO RAIN at all.

Boo....tell me the t-storms if they come will go away and fast!!!

First, any forecast over 18 hours in the future is not worth much.

Second, it can be pouring buckets at, say, MK and be sunny at Epcot... all at the same time.

Don't sweat the weather forecast.

I've been doing the same thing. We are going to be there the first week of May and I'm preparing myself for a wet, soggy trip. We've done it before and survived. But I"m still hoping for lots of sun!

We were supposed to have t-storms every day of our Sept trip. We did have a few, but managed to swim every day and work around them. They don't usually last long either. Worrying won't change the weather anyway. Instead, look up all the fun indoor things you can do, just in case!

I've been going to disney for over 30 years and have never been without at least a shower. No big deal, if in the parks take a poncho or umbrella and enjoy playing in the rain. If a pool day, unless there is lightening, the pool stays open and if you are swimming you are wet anyway. I don't think I've ever had an entire day of rain but once, it was a hurricane so not unexpected. Don't sweat it, just enjoy.

I have been religiously monitoring the forecast for my tripnnext week and it has flip flopped significantly. Like the OP, we have also been spoiled by near perfect weather on prior trips. However we did have a couple of hours of thunder and lightening storms at universal last year and we just did the water rides since we were soaked. Ten days of that might be a little much but you make the best of it-when life gives you water on vacation, you ride water rides!

You said you are planning 3 days in the parks and the other days by the pool. Instead of relying on the pool and that only, think about other non park activities to do in case it does rain and you want to do something else. What about a monorail trip around the resorts? You can then also take the boat over to Fort Wilderness for a look around (take ponchos or umbrellas just in case).

We are staying offsite and have a car so def we can find stuff to do...but some of our enjoyable moments were at the pool last year so we hoped for more of that. We can go shopping and out to eat, etc. I know the weather can change fast so hoping to sunny days moving in later this weekend.

Our last trip said chance of T Storms everyday, it was sunny the whole time. Its Florida pop up rain storms are a regular occurance. Never really last long

I can sympathize. I know perfectly well the forecast doesn't mean anything until the day before, but I get bummed seeing potential high temps and rain. I try not to look, but it's hard.
