Going to DL on Monday and it show a weather advisory! Lots of rain which is always fun to land in! Hoping the weatherman out there are as wrong as the ones in Chicago!! Of course this is the first vacation that we ever get to our destination so early (8:45 a.m.)... Lookin for some pixie dust that next week's weather will be nice!! :worship:

Hi. DH & I will be at the DLR next week also. Our plan is to play at the parks Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Weather.com says partly cloudy/mostly sun everyday, no rain. Temps 40's-60's. That's good news for us. The rain is predicted for Monday and Friday. Hope this helps and have a magical time!

Jackie

I used to be scared of the rain but after 2 trips that each had one rainy day, I've decided I'd rather deal with rain over crowds any day! We just wear our rain boots and our ponchos and away we go! The weather advisory I saw was more for snow in the mountains. Hope you have a great trip.

I am one one likes when it rains in the parks, it will really knock down the crowds.

Jack

Well rain at WDW usually last a short time...like you go on a ride and come out and see the ground is wet.. Any luck like that at DL?:confused3. Whatever it is, it is! Guess its better to have rain in CA than snow in Indiana!! :rotfl2:

A little rain won't hurt you :)

Rain never stopped us from going to the park--or made us leave early. Just get some rain ponchos and you are good to go. The rain makes the lines _really_ short. We've been there when the wind was basically making it rain sideways. Lot's of indoor rides that time.

They even sell Disney umbrellas at some shops, but we found you have to ask for them. We've accumulated a whole collection of Disney ponchos from all our rainy trips over the years.

We will be in Disneyland next week, too - arriving on Monday, also. You would think a little rain wouldn't affect flights, but when I used to commute by plane to and from Phoenix for work, there were a couple of times when I had to fly out on a rainy day and flights got delayed!!!

We come from a climate where it rains A LOT, so for us to go to SUNNY California and have it rain is the ultimate let-down.

The bad part about it raining SAT - MON & FRI is that I think that means the crowds will be heavier TUE -THU (which are our main Disney days, too) - don't you think???

I may sound crazy but I have always wanted to go to DL when it raining. I've always wanted to see how the crowds diminish. I've heard it can get fairly slow. A few rain poncho and an extra pair of socks and I am set. But if it's sunshine you are after, then cheers to a little pixie dust.

Hey everybody, I am in San Diego and yes it appears that Sunday and Monday may have rain. As far as DL goes, I have been there often when it rains and while you can still have a magical time please be aware that it will become slippery on the pavement. No flip-flops or even crocs in the rain. :thumbsup2

Yes, good point. We were wearing tennis shoes with good tread and we were still slipping around, especially in FL. Be REALLY careful of the store at the end of IASW. The floor is made of tile and it was very slippery in there.

O man you are probably right! If you check out the virtual picture posted on a previous post you may be doing a rain dance with me!

I think I'd take the rain over the crowds! I am a seasoned professional in the rain (in Vancouver, we don't see the sun for about six months of the year, lol!).

Oh well, I think as long as we're prepared, not in a hurry (we technically have 5 days, so we'll be able to take it easy and still see everything - and maybe some stuff two or three times!).

I think this will be the nail in Grumpy DH's coffin, though. He's NOT looking forward to the crowds. It's like the WORST thing in the world for him to weave in and out of walls of people. Poor thing. I just keep saying, "We're doing it for the kids..............." He then responds by mumbling something incoherently while putting on his best face====> :headache: While I am just ====>:laughing::laughing:

The rain in California is VERY different than the rain they get in Florida. The climates are actually very different. The rain in California is often cold and windy, and you typically would not be running around in shorts and sandals like in Florida.
