We leave a week from today.:banana:

How has the weather been? I checked the weather channel forecast and it looks like about a high of 70 and a low of 48. Is that accurate for the park as well?

I'm thinking shorts/capris and t-shirts for the day and jeans/sweatshirts for night. Do you think we need anything warmer?

Thanks!:santa:

Well, I don't know what you need to bring because I don't know your family's cold tolerance. I could be a polar bear for all you know and tell you that sweatshirts are absolutely fine for the evenings, then you'll be cursing me as you shiver on the concrete, waiting for Fantasmic! lol!

Here. Look at this website (use the Trip Planner dates on the right side of page) and plan the days you'll be there against the historical averages....ESPECIALLY the hourly temperatures. A high of 76 might not mean squat if you'll be freezing your bejeebuses off in the morning at the gates. ;)

Mornings can be just as cold as nights at DL. If the high is only forcasted to be 70 then I'd just go with long pants and ss or 3/4 sleeve tops for the wamest part of the day (I believe that is usually around 3pm) and have several layers you can shed and add as the temps fluctuate.

I live in the midwest and 48 degrees at DL would require a lot heavier clothing than just jeans and a sweatshirt. Especially once you are outside of DL going to and from your hotel or the parking structure.

It gets colder the closer you get to the ocean. Depending on where you are from, I would suggest anywhere from shorts in the afternoon to light/moderate jacket in the mornings and evenings. Rain is usually not a factor this time of year, but I would suggest dollar store ponchos just in case. Have fun.

We go the first week of December every year and every year we do this one thing: LAYER!! I am from So Cal and I am a wimp when it comes to cold. Mornings and late afternoons/evenings get chilly, especially if you are standing or sitting for a show/parade to start. It's different at noon when you're walking from place to place.

This is what we do:
jeans, socks, tennis shoes
I wear a tank, a short sleeve, a long sleeve and bring a jacket/sweater and scarf. I have it all on by the time the sun goes down.
My hubbs will do a short sleeve, long sleeve, bring a jacket and beanie.
70's could still be chilly, especially in the shade or in air conditioned places.

This may sound dramatic, but the last thing we want is to be freezing waiting for fireworks, and we are not down with buying a Mickey sweatshirt for the price of a one-night hotel stay.

Too much to carry around the park? rent a $6 locker and go back once around 4PM to get everything out.

Have fun!!!

Check out HydroGuy's thread on weather: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=23004158

I also like a suggestion by Kittyskyfish to check Weather Underground's Trip Planner: http://www.wunderground.com/tripplanner/index.asp. Plug in your dates and it will give you the statistical history for highs and lows, chance of precipitation, humidity, wind factors, etc.

Bottom line, though, as others have stated, bring layers! It might be warm at 2:30, but early morning and late evening will get chilly.
