For those of you who have travelled in the Sept value season or the December value seasons, can you give me an idea of the weather? Is Sept completely unbearable? Is Dec warm enough to be able to enjoy swimming in resort pools and water parks?

I can't speak for Dec., but we have only ever gone the 1st full week after Labor Day. The weather is very very hot & humid. But with mid-day breaks & lots of water it is doable. The low crowds are worth putting up with the weather. This time we have to go in August & I'm really not worried about the weather only the crowd levels.

We have traveled in both time frames. I agree with PP. Sept can be very hot but trips to the pool and personal fans make it manageable. We went the first week of Dec one time. It really was not warm enough to swim IMO but there were some people in the pools. The crowds are even less in Dec than Sept and the weather is beautiful. Its was our favorite trip.

September is still hot and humid. December is usually quite nice and often warm enough for swimming, although on one December visit it was colder in Florida than home in PA! I think that was an anomaly though. We were there last December and had glorious weather. Evenings can get chilly pretty quickly; a light jacket is a good idea. I would check the schedule before booking to see when Pop Warner will be there...crowds are common at that time; last December (12/1-4 when we were there) it was pretty crowded.
