weather question?

I understand that the water may be too cool for swimming in December-January on the cruises, but when does it get reliably warm enough that you can count on swimming during the cruise? march? may? any insight appreciated.

I was on the Jan 10th Eastern this year and the water was warm everywhere except Castaway Cay. Dont get me wrong....I still went in but it was a little cold. St Thomas (Trunk Bay) was the warmest and prettiest!!!
