Weather Question-HELP

We have been to Disney World quite a few times, but never in August. We are going from August 12 thru August 20. I see in rains alot in August. What can we expect? Down pours all day, everyday? Spot showers?

Help!!

It rarely rains all day here (unless it's a hurricane), and in August, for the most part we get afternoon (they seem to come around 2:30 or 3Pm when DDs school is let out!) or early evening thunderstorms, that can last a few minutes, or a bit longer. Nothing that would ruin an entire day at the parks, and many days, it is a welcome relief for a few moments!

Just keep your ponchos handy, and head inside for some shopping or a snack!!!

MAK has it exactly. Over those same dates when on our honeymoon at 3:30pm it started pouring down rain. Hmmm, we hopped the monorail back to the Poly and caught an early dinner. Refreshed and ready to head back into the parks, we noted all the people who were soaked to the bone and were now waiting for dinner. It's like we had the park to ourselves! Day 3-10 were just about the same. You'd look up at 3:00 and see the storm clouds rolling in. Just enough time to get to where you wanted to go before the afternoon delluge hit.

Will be hot and humid, but the crowdes will be lower. Have a great vacation.
