Hello-

I am so excited for our trip in a few weeks but I am at a loss as to what to pack to wear. I can't tell if its still "cold" there or if its shorts weather?

What is the weather like the first week of Feb in Orlando at Disney World?

What should I wear? Jeans and a t-shirt, shorts? Capris?

What should my 3 year old daughter wear? long pants or shorts? sun dress? short sleeves or long sleeves?

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it! :)

I know in the past when we have gone in Nov. and Dec. I've always packed things that were too warm. It's been hotter than I thought it was going to be.

We are going in Feb. this year too and I'm bringing mostly capris and short sleeve shirts and then I'm bringing a sweatshirt for each of my kids for in the parks in the evening when it gets a little cooler.

I hope that helps a little bit. :goodvibes

I've been in February a couple times and it's usually shorts or capris weather. My kids and DH always wear shorts and are comfortable. I've been in January and it's not quite shorts weather all through the month - the weather in January can vary quite a bit. I would keep your eye on the 15 day forecast and that will help you plan better. Accuweather.com has one that's usually very reliable. It's too hard to pack too far in advance - I am leaving this Wednesday and I'm still watching the reports every day - looks like I'm packing a little bit of everything this time!

I lived in Capri's and a jean jacket on our last trip in Feb. The common rule is dress in layers it is cool in the morning and the evening. DH always wears shorts but he is hot blooded. It depends on where you are coming from too... When you leave 2 degree temps 70 degrees is warm!

Hi,

I'm very happy that the posters above have experienced pleasant weather in February. Not to be a party pooper, but if you have never been to WDW in the winter months it is very important that you know this:

Winter weather in Orlando is completely unpredictable. You could have warm days (80s) with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with afternoons in the 40s or 50s. Or you could have a little of both, or something in between.

My advice is to pack a little of everything, including shorts and gloves!

I agree!

We went in Feb 2007 and the weather was all over the place. Mostly cool-to-cold (at least for us, we are from the Arizona desert so anything below 65 is cold to us!). I wore jeans everyday and a long sleeve t shirt layered under a short sleeve shirt. I started each day with my light weight down jacket. Somedays I kept it on the whole day, some days it went into the locker by lunch.

On our last night there, we were at the MK and I swear it was below 40. So cold, I could feel the ground through my socks and sneakers. We ended up buying knitted beanie caps and luckily I had my gloves in my coat pocket from a previous trip!

So for our trip in three weeks (yippee!) I'm taking all jeans and maybe one pair of shorts, lots of long sleeve layering tops, short sleeve shirts that can be worn with or without the long sleeve underneath, my light down coat, my gloves and knitted cap :thumbsup2

We are DVC, so we have a washer/dryer in our room. Since I have to pack such a variety of things I'll definitely be wearing things more than once, but thank goodness for the washer/dryer in the room!

WOW! Thank you all so very much for your wonderful tips and advice!!

I will pack a little of everything and also watch the weather very closely too before we leave.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it! :)
