we're here right now and the latest local forecast has put the chance of rain down to 30% for Friday, 20% for Saturday and Sunday and 30% on Monday. Irene is only expected to cause problems on the coast in the form of rip tides and high surf so people are being advised to stay out of the water. They're saying that there will be rain this afternoon (but that's nothing new). We have generally found that since we came out on 9th August we've had rain each day but only for around 1 1/2 hours - if you're lucky enough to be inside (e.g. a restuarant) then that's perfect. The rain is generally starting around 3 or 4 o'clock. We were lucky on Tuesday with our Fantasmic package. We were booked to eat at 3.50, the rain started just as we got to Hollywood & Vine at 4 and we managed to eat slowly enough so that by the time we left at 6 it had virtually stopped. It did start up again briefly but we went inside and did some rides (TSM and Great Movie Ride) and luckily cleared by 8.30 just in time for Fantasmic.
So, in short, the weather for Friday through to Monday is looking the best that we've had since we came out!
