Sunday is our first park day (HS) and current forcast is downpour most of the day with estimate of over an inch of rain. Mon (AK) is rain but not constant and Tuesday we have a quiet day, no parks but a 11:20 Bon Voyage/pool time Wed is RD through EMH (MK) also manageable. Thursday is DS day. We really do not like to do three park days back to back because we like to go all day when we do go. But given the current forcast and that our ADR can still work, I am thinking of switching Sun to DS day movie/TS/ another movie? We want to see Avengers and Wrinkle in Time. And going to HS on Tuesday. And making Thursday our pool day, and we have plans to meet up with friends that evening. Is it worth the change? We do have a DD hoping for Jedi training and we got rained out last trip (2016) and no plans to be back for a few more years. How much stick do you put in rain predicted a few days out to change plans? We do not have hoppers.

If you are willing to poncho up and stick it out through the rain, then there's no need to move your schedule. We usually do that. People usually leave the parks when it rains. If you can't be in the rain, then you will have to switch out something. I am very reluctant to make modifications to my schedule, since I have invested so much time and energy into it. Good luck

. This is me now, trying to consider the whole group. Will see if it passes DH. He loved how our last trip went with all intentional planning and love that DD and I put in. We do not mind rain, we live on a tropical island. Last year we got 10in in one 24 hr period. We have ponches, quick dry clothes and shoes.

We just got back last night. Rained a lot! Last Sunday in the Animal Kingdom was the worst, torrential downpour most of the day. We had our raincoats and went with the flow. Lots of soggy shoes lol. We did pretty much everything in the parks as the crowds were not bad and a lot of people leave when it rains. Sure it would have been nice if it had been sunny and less humid, but we still had a magical time and enjoyed our stay. Have fun!

Thank for taking time to comment. Did you take time to see animals? We're many out? We love the rides and shows but was wondering about seeing animals on a really rainy day.

I see now that you live in Honduras. Duh:) Orlando is very tropical. Even though it says 80% chance of rain, that doesn't mean it will rain the entire day there. Where I live in Austin, TX, 80% means it will be raining most of the day at varying strengths. I think for Orlando weather 80% chance of rain means there's a high percentage chance that it will rain sometime during the day, probably very heavily when it does. I don't think it necessarily means it will rain most of the day. We rarely look at the forecast concerning the rain. I usually only care about the temperature.

They are predicting the first named storm of the season might be brewing, if it was just rain I would not care as much. They have revised Sunday to expected 2" of rainfall and heavy storms most of the day.

As a mamma, this is the only variable that stuck out to me. Is she old enough that you can let her make the decision, knowing that there are no guarantees either way? Would the rest of you be okay with whatever decision she makes?

. She is 7, almost 8. Yes she can help make the decision. We are on the Magical Express now and glad to see the sun ⛅

There are no tropical storms in the Florida area. We are just getting rain from the Gulf. Predicted to last a few more days. Heavy rains off and on in different places everyday this week. We may be in the beginning of the rainy season where we get short showers every afternoon though. No big deal just enjoy the parks.
