Weather in St. Thomas?

We will be visiting St. Thomas on our Eastern Magic cruise the week after next! I just checked the 10 day forecast on weather.com and it shows scattered showers for 9 of the next 10 days! Is this typical for St. Thomas in April? Or is it more like the kind of 15 minute afternoon storms you get in Florida, but the rest of the day is beautiful? Just curious... Thanks!

Yes, scattered showers are typical for that region. When we were in St. Maarten, it rained twice while we were in port. But the rain was warm and light, and didn't put a damper on anything. It cleared up just as quickly as it came.

When we were on our honeymoon in St. John, it rained almost every day, just for a short time, though. And the clouds made for some beautiful sunsets.
