Hi All
I was wondering what the weather is mostly like at the end of Sept. beginning of Oct. We plan on going to WDW between Sep. 19- Oct. 3, 2010.Thanks in advancedprincess:

We're scheduled for September 25, WL this year. Crowds are usually small but with all the promotions going on, we'll see. Weather is fantastic, hot weather but not the real stifling hot weather. We run into the late afternoon shower just about every day, 3pm, you can set your watch by it but after an hour, sun dries up all the rain and if you took a nap during that time, you'd never known it had rained. We enjoy using the resort pools and this time of year is ideal for some pool lounging. Hope you have an enjoyable trip, I know we will.

Its terrible - dont come during that time ..........:lmao:

Actually, its our favorite time too - but lets keep that a secret!!!

I agree - crowds are usually smaller during the weeks but watch out for special events that crowd up the weekends....we find we can get alot done and have a GREAT time - weather is warm so you can use the pools/waterparks.....bring your poncho's - typically still has the afternoon thunderstorm!!

What is the weather/ crowds like in later Oct. Not around Halloween, but in the weeks leading up to it.

Also, when do they start the decorating for the Halloween festivities at Disney? My girls don't typically like Halloween, so we want to be there and out before they start any of that type stuff!

Would it be better to go after Halloween, but before thanksgiving?

I have pics from our last Sept trip w/ all the Halloween decorations, so they do it mid-Sept I think. :) If you don't want to see Halloween decs, Photobee, don't go in Oct at all. LOL Stick w/ the beginning of Sept...I'm sure someone has exact dates they do the switch...

This year will make my fifth trip during that timeframe. My experience is that it's quite hot (upper 80s, low 90s) and humid. Not as unbearable as mid-summer, but it can be very hot and humid. (I live in Washington state and we have virtually no humidity here, so I'm totally not used to that kind of weather!)

As others have said, it often thunderstorms in October (bring your rain gear!). It's hurricane season; we even experienced Hurricane Wilma during our 2005 trip! (Luckily we just caught the outer edges of the hurricane, and had high winds and rain. But the parks were only closed 1/2 day due to the storm. The best news was, once Wilma passed through, the heat and humidity went away! the five days after the hurricane were my most pleasant at WDW during October; it was upper 70s and virtually no humidity!

MNSSHP starts in september (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so the halloween decor is up then. I'm pretty sure they take it down right after Halloween. Early November is a nice time to go. It's alot cooler and you don't have the Thanksgiving crowds.

Thanks everyone! This was a big help for me and my family. We plan to celebrate my daughters 13th B-day so know I know what to expect. Again Thanks:worship::thumbsup2
