Weather In October

I was wondering if someone can let me know their past experience with the Weather the end of October. More specifically, we are staying at CBR October 28 - November 4, and my 6dd and 4dd are so concerned about swimming. I've seen the historic patterns, but just wanted someone else's input. Thanks!

I think October is one of the main "crap shoot" months. We've been the past 2 Octobers (week of 21st in 2001, week of 13th in 2002).

In 2001, we jumped in and out of the pool on the first night - freezing but determined to do it. The next day we bought sweatshirts and long pants for everyone and stayed chilly the rest of the week.

Last year (2002) was COMPLETELY different. It was very (comfortably) warm for the whole trip. Shorts everyday, swimming, etc.

Sorry this probably doesn't help a ton. We're headed back on 10/14 this year. We drive (from Atlanta) so we will pack extra (warm) stuff - in case.

Good news is we essentially had no rain prior two October trips! Obviously crowds were down considerably in 2001, but also rather manageable last year too. Not sure what the "7-for-4" special pricing might do to crowds this October.

Best news - you get to go to MNSSHP. Best Disney event ever!

I have to agree with the previous poster, October tends to offer some surprises. We've been going to Florida every year in October since '98 for our anniverary (Oct. 20th). The days have generally been warm enough for shorts and swimming, but the nights seem too chilly for us to take a dip in the pool, nice for the hot tub, tho

One thing I do know, kids are definitely hardier The pools are heated, I believe, and there always seem to be kids in them, even at night.

Bring sweaters or sweatshirts, just in case
