Anyone know what the weather is like in DLRP in mid October? Closest we've been is late November which was bitterly cold, but I'm expecting more wet than cold for some reason!?

thanks

Steve, we went to DLRP in the October school holidays (middle of the month) in 2001 and were surprised by how warm it was. We didn't need the warmer clothing such as sweaters that we had packed and were wearing t-shirts, even had to buy a couple extra ones. Hopefully this year the weather will be as good.

Hope you have agreat trip. pirate:

Hi Steve, When we went in October 2004 it wasn't that cold but we got the rain I am afraid. You just dont know what it is going to do but as we have had an extremely mild September you can only hope October will be the same.

Not much help I know!!

Jackie

In Oct 2005 I took fleeces and raincoats and both stayed in the cases! It was warm enough for sweatshirts and on one day, T-shirts! I hope this year is the same!

I hope it just stays dry! think the temps will be simular to here which has got a lot colder the past few days.
I'm taking sweatshirts, t shirts, waterproofs as well as hats and gloves (just in case) but hope they will stay in the case!

This is the weather at the moment

Dry today but wet weather over the next few days 16 degrees so about the same as here.

Thanks for all the replies - looks like it's sunny the 2 days before we go, hopefully it will stay that way.

Hi Steve

Last year we had sun :sunny: everyday (late Sep). This year it wasn't quite do good although not anywhere near freezing.

Sunday was patchy showers but warm.
Monday and Tuesday were wet , lots of rain but only a bi cold later and that might have been from wearing wet clothes ! :confused3
Wednesday and Today were glorious sun with the very odd slight shower

We carried raincoats and fleeces in a backpack and wore t-shirts to cover all eventualities.

Hope this helps

I could be optimistic and just take t-shirts, then if it did get cold rainy I'd be forced to buy a fleece or coat - such a shame!

How was the trip Angela, and thanks for the weather report

The trip was fantastic even though the weather was poor.!

There were lots of nice fleeces and jackets so that might be a very good plan ;)

when we went in Oct it rained a lot! but wasn't cold so we managed with fleeces & ponchos.

Fingers crossed you won't get the rain but just go prepared for it

plus it didn't stop us having a great time

I'm a bit worried about the weather when we go in march, We are prepared for the cold but I hate the rain!

The weather forecast is for rain every day - I'll get the waterproofs ready i.e. buy some this weekend!

I bought an adult fleece which said Huggable and had a piccie of WTP on the front for 30 € (There were other styles available )and there was a waterproof padded jacket (with built in hood for €38 that I considered)

Hope this helps ghasfura :goodvibes
