Hi all, I am looking for info from those of you who have been to Orlando in late May (we are going on May 24-31, 2009). We have only been down there in March, April, October and November, so I have no idea what to expect. I know it will be warm, which is great for us, but I'm wondering how much rain to expect...is it like in the summer where there's typically a mid to late afternoon quick shower, and otherwise sunny? Or something else? TIA for any info from those who have been there in May!

It starts getting hotter in late May and the humidity- and the love bugs - moves in. There are occasional afternoon thunderstorms but not as frequent as in the summer. Great to go back to the resort and hop in the pool for a bit. We'be gone a few times that time of year. Last year, we arrived on Mother's Day and for the entire week it was great (mid 80s) but the next Saturday when we were leaving, the temperature jumped to low 90s with humidity. I don't mind the heat at all so we were fine with it.

I always go Mid- late May and it is HOT! For the past two years it hasn't rained much while I was there. There was one day where it was like a tropical storm (at least to a northerner like me).... but it lasted about 20 minutes of terrential downpour then it was sunny the rest of the day. If it does rain, it seems to be only for 10-20 minutes.
