so much info but I can't find what I am interested in ~ is there a spot for water temp? we are wondering what the swimming conditions will be

we are getting ready for our third january cruise. We have never thought it too cold to go swimming or snorkeling in January, however we are from the midwest, so it is like a heat wave for us. I have noticed that other folks from the south that are used to warmer weather do think the water a bit cold for swimming.

I'm from the south and found the water temps at Castaway cay fine for swimming. If it had been overcast and breezy it may have felt a little too cool though......

Although the water can be somewhat cool at Castaway Cay, St Maarten and St Thomas/St John have air temperatures in the 70's/80's year-round. The water is typically very comfortable.
