We were at DLRP first week of October in 2004 and had fab. weather most of the time we were walking around in Tshirts.

We may be looking at going the same time again this year and I just wondered if we were incredibly lucky that year or if other people's experiences have been the same in other years.
There is a reason behind it -I'm trying to work out how much clothing we actually need to pack, but as we also seem to be at DLRP when it's cold or raining I pack accordingly, although granted usually far too much,
in fact I can almost guarantee I will bring 1 suitcase of clean clothes back. Luggage space however is going to be tight, if we all travel in the same car, (Zafira) to and from the airport and we're looking at a 6 night/6 day stay which sends me into a panic as I'd normally take 1 of everything for each day for everyone, plus a spare and a couple of spare spares, just in case and then times all that by 3 people :scared1:

Early October 2007 we were in short sleeves and no coats from mid morning onwards. Early mornings, we found short sleeves and a light jacket were ample.

I had taken clothes for winter, so was a bit surprised to find the weather as fine as it was. It rained only on the last day we were there ( and that was on the way to the airport:) )

Oh I do so hope it's the same this year as I'm going on my first trip to DLP the first week of October and I want it to be magical!! Fingers crossed!!

Jill - I feel your pain :lmao:

When we were there in October we had wet and damp so we went through a lot of clothes.

I suppose you will get a better idea nearer the time but it is not going to be freezing cold so I would assume you wont need winter gear :)

Now Jackie, you should be able to write a book on how to manage without your clothes at DLP ;) I'd buy it !!! :rotfl:
You could flog it at Terminal 5.

Seriously I thought I was so good last trip condensing my medicine suitcase into a medicine vanity case, I don't know if I can downsize any more than that.:rolleyes1

See if it's raining, then at the very least you need a spare pair of shoes for everyone and have you seen the size on boy's trainers ? DS could almost fill a suitcase with a pair of his.

Hi Jill,

I was there first week of October last year, and as has been said already, from about 11am no jackets were needed at all, it was lovely and sunny. Early mornings we wore light fleeces, and we only had one shower of fine drizzle the whole 3 days we were there.

I have been in October when it has been lovely weather & another year it was raining most of the time, although it was funny as my sister & BIL asked why I packed so much. I wasn't the one having to franticaly try & dry my clothes overnight, like some people:rolleyes1

How many people going?
