We are going the first week of Dec this year. How is the weather at this time of year? We usually go in Feb or March and the weather is pretty unpredictable. we have had really hot and really cold. We were there once the week before christmas and froze!

Unpredictable is the best word for it. I have been in early to mid-December the past 4 years, and have seen all sorts of weather. My best advise is to pack for all types of weather, as we have had days where we wore shorts and t-shirts and days where we wore coats and gloves. It's a great time of year to visit though--Disney is extra magical around the holidays. :)

Unpredictable is right - we were there last year. We were bundled up for our first two days, and it was 70 on our last day!

Best advise is to watch the Weather channel. Look for cold fronts that might be coming this far south. We were there mid December last year and it was in the 50's during the day. We went to MVMCP and the free hot cocoa came in handy. Kept our hands warm. LOL As stated before dress in layers. Don't forget the knitted mittens if it will be cold Disney charges $8 for a pair but they are plain black.

It was cold when we visited in December!! We still had fun and the Christmas decorations were beautiful, so it was well worth the trip.

As Scar says, Be prepared! Bring your gloves and hats and sweatshirts, but bring a bathing suit as well. You never know!:D

We are going the first week in December, so I'm also interested in the weather. I had one set of neighbors go the first week of December a few years back and they said the weather was beautiful and warm. Another set of neighbors went the next year and the weather was in the 30's (BRRRRRR!), so I guess you really need to be prepared for anything.

I just I will just pack for all sorts of weather. :teeth:

Take items for cold weather and items for warm weather. last Dec we were there for 4 days and 1 day it was perfect, 1 day it was rainy, next day cold and last day still cold but warmer than day before.

for anything. Last year we were there in early Dec. Temps were mid 70's to low 80's for all but 1 day with nights into the 50's.

The night that we went to the MVMCP it was COLD for Fla. mid 40's. Because were from New England it was sweatshirt weather, but most people were in winter clothes and complaining.

Had light rain one day and that day was cool.

We've gone the first or second week of December the past 6 years. We've seen everything from highs of 50 to highs of 80. 70's is the average high. Watch the forecast carefully and pack accordingly. If days are in the 60's, bring a coat and gloves for evening, it can get down into the 40's. I remember the first time I saw Wishes last December, it was only a high of 50 that day and it was down in the 40's after dark, I was so cold! Other trips it was around 80 the whole time and you only needed a jacket at night.

I was there Dec. 13-23/ 2001 and it was hot -record highs for several days.It didn't rain once in 10 days. I may be going again this December so am hoping for the same weather.

We were there 2 years ago and just our luck the Orlando area set a record for rain fall that week. I couldn't believe the rain. I felt like Forest Gump in Vietnam - while waiting at the dock at WL for MVMCP it was lightning and rainging sideways and raining up. Needless to say we cut our losses that night and didn't go and they still had it. During the day the temps weren't bad but the rain was so we kept going with our ponchos.

4 years ago we were wearing our winter coats the first half of the week and the last half it made it to the low 70's.

Take a little bit of everything.

PS, we are going first week of December this year. Keeping our fingers crossed for no rain. The cold I can handle better.

I have been there twice in December and the warm days outnumbered the cold days a bit.
I am PRAYING it is at least warm Dec. 6. We are having an Disney intimate wedding outside and my dress is spaghetti strapped with a low back!

I agree with unpredictable. We've gone two years in a row - the same week. One year we were in layers and there was frost on the cars one night. The next year we were in shorts even at night. Plan for layers and you'll be fine.
