Hi guys :wave2:

Although we're not going to LA for another 3 months yet, my thoughts are moving to clothes and what we should be packing.

As we've only ever been to Florida can someone let me know what the weather is likely to be at this time of year.

Being Brits we are used to virtually anything but like to have all bases covered.

Any advice/tips greatly received :banana:

The weather in Anaheim (I know from personal experience :faint:) in August is typically hot and humid (Like the weather during the jungle cruise safari) So please be prepared for such. Plenty of sunscreen or sun block. Don't overdo. Wear a hat and sun glasses. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Wear cotton or linen, when possible. And regardless of temperature, one might care to bring an extra pair of comfy shoes to wear. They can be kept in one of the Disney lockers. And a fresh pair of socks is a good idea too. What you say that you don't wear socks? It is a good idea to do so. Otherwise Mayhem might come a callin' with many a blister.
If the morning is on the cool side, layering is always a good idea. If the weather is warm then, still make sure to bring a light sweater,for the night can cool off enough, to where you might be wishin' to have such with you. Again, you don't have to carry anything around all day long. Just rent a locker for the day, if you might desire to do so.
I find the type of bag that is best to use, one of the best anyway, is a messenger style bag. Not like the bike messengers, but the kind that students use. I love mine. I don't believe there is a Target Store yet, in the UK (I am hoping one day) but that is where I purchased mine several years ago in Rohnert Park, Ca. Target Stores are located through out California. And there is one conveniently located in Garden Grove. This city is located right next to Anaheim. And is very close to Disneyland. There you can also find good deals and pricing otherwise on anything that you may need (Within reason)

~~~~~~ Here is hoping that you and your family will have a speedy and safe flight.
And a most wonderfully magical visit to the US, Ca and Disneyland! ~~~~~~~~
Thank you both :)
Crocs it is then, never out of these in Orlando!
Will start to buy the suncream, for some reason I didn't think it was as humid as Florida or to get those kind of temperatures.
We're so excited can't wait :banana:
You're right, it doesn't get nearly as humid here as it does in Florida. It will likely be hot and there could be a heat wave but it really is a much drier heat than in FL.
I would mostly pack shorts or capris and t-shirts but would probably bring at least one pair of pants/jeans (just in case!) and some sort of sweatshirt or long sleeved shirt for mornings and evenings, although it might be warm enough not to need these but you never know.
Also, keep an eye on the weather forecast as your trip gets closer since SoCal weather can be unpredictable at times. At that time of year the weather is fairly consistent though.
Have a great trip!
