Weather in April

Our trip is scheduled for early April. How is the weather usually? Will we be able to ride the water rides and tolerate getting wet without freezing? When my girlfriend went years ago on her kid's spring break (can't remember if it was March or April), I remember her saying it was chilly if not cold and they couldn't do a day at the beach.

Sorry, can´t help. I´m wondering the exact samt thing. I went in the beginning of April 17 (eeek, I´m getting old) years ago and remember swimming in the hotel pool and at the beach in the middle of the day. However, I´ve been wondering whether it was unsusually warm then?

I read somewhere that the weather in April is typically around 70F and sunny. We are hoping that is the case when we go in late April!

I'll be eagerly checking the weather forecasts before we go.

Well, it seems that it always rains the first weekend of April, but the second weekend is usually okay. Sometimes a light morning rain, but then it clears up. Typically it's around 70 or so.

That's just based on my yearly experiences with the Long Beach Grand Prix, the second weekend of April. The rest of April... I don't pay as much attention then, but I think it's usually okay. No heavy rains, anyway, and decent temperatures.
