This will be the first time I've gone during the summer in about 20 years, so I have a question about the weather. I've been looking on weather.com and it basically has scattered thunderstorms for every day of our trip. Is this just a standard weather forecast for central Florida in the summer? I know there are usually afternoon showers, so is that the scattered thunderstorm that the forecast is referring to?

Completely typical. There may be rain everyday, not in every location but here and there, but short lived.

Someone from Florida can probably tell you better than I, but I think they do have scattered showers/thunder showers frequently during the summer, but they don't usually last the whole day.

Also, I don't know the exact dates that you are going, but it is hurricane season now, through October or November, I believe.

We went to WDW one year in July, and it was REALLLLLY hot. I could feel the sweat rolling down the back of knees....now that's hot.

Yes, pretty much every day in the summer there is some sort of brief rain &/or thunderstorm. Usually lasts 1/2 hour or so. It's a good time to go to the Hall of Presidents. ;)

the heat is definitely more to worry about than the daily rains.....unless there's a hurricane! ;)
