I'm getting a little nervouse about our trip next week...The weather forecast
shows rain everyday and hardly any sun.

Is this normal, or is Ernesto going to cause it to rain the whole time were there?

I know it typically rains a little everyday, but I'm concerned it's going to rain the whole time.

Any insight from the Floridians???

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum..

Thanks

It's raining right now, albeit a light rain. Today is 90% rain change, tomorrow 60% and then rest of the week shows about 30-40% chance. That's according to WESH Weather as of last night. Today seems to be the only true rainy day and the rest of the days the rain will be isolated. Doesn't appear that it will be too bad for the exception of today.

Be prepared for the heat and humidity. I can handle the heat, but the humidity is what gets you. It will make you sweat like a dog from the time you set outside of the hotel until you return. The humidity is bad. I'll never come back during summer. I'll stick to my MVMCP as i've never experienced any type of problems there. :wizard:

It will NOT rain all day every day, unless there is a tropical system over Florida.

It will most likely rain for a little while almost every day though.

:confused3 I once went in Dec. and it rained the whole time except for one day!! we did alot of outlet mall shopping and had to buy sweatshirts!! hoping for good weather for everyone!!!!

Our experience last week was that it WILL rain every day - some days more than others, but every day. The mornings were generally bright and sunny but by 12:00-2:00 the clouds would build and the rain would start. It was usually over within an hour, and only on Saturday did the rain continue in the evening. It will cool off briefly and then become humid again. It could also be raining where you are but not down the road - that's basically the weather forecast every day! :sunny:

Enjoy your trip! :wave2:

This is the rainiest time of the year, August and September, in Florida. But, as the other posters mentioned, it probably won't all day everyday unless there's a tropical system lingering over/by FL. Don't let the forcast get you down as that is a very "typical" forcast for this time of the year.

You have to be prepared for the wet weather during the summer/early fall months in FL, that's just the way it is. There's no way to predict what it's going to be like in 2 weeks, we could have another hurricane or tropical system within that time for all they know. Or it can be nice some of those days too.

We went to WDW in July and it rained everyday, some days for several hours. We tried to get to bed early and out early in the morning. When it wasn't raining it was hot. By lunchtime everyday it was raining, somedays it rained all afternoon and some just for an hr or so.

Try to make alternate "inside" plans to fall back on. If you want to go to the water parks try to get there at opening. And, just make sure to pack those ponchos. AND..ENJOY, no matter what the weather is!! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear that hopefully it will be isolated.

We've always gone in September in the past and I can deal with the small bouts of rain, but I was just concerned with what I saw on the forecast.

As for it being hot and humid...I live in St. Louis and we have the humidity here also so I'm used to that.

Thanks for the replys. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I read a post here recently from someone seriously looking for a website that offered a "better forecast" (less rain) than the site they had just looked at.
:lmao:

Now, knowing that forecasting the weather with any kind of long-term accuracy is, well, VOO-DOO anyway...

I offer the following as a "alternative" forecast site:
------------------------------------

Hate RAIN?

Then you need, "NEVER-RAIN-dot-COM", where the forecasts are NOT as DREARY as those nasty OTHER sites that predict rain.

Yes, "NEVER-RAIN-dot-COM" only forecasts "Sunny and Warm" ALL-day, EVERY-day!

"NEVER-RAIN-dot-COM" is just the answer for folks going on vacation and don't want to worry about missing those happy outdoor activities.**

And at "NEVER-RAIN-dot-COM", you won't pay EXTRA for all those complex MAPS and RADAR, and METEOROLOGISTS... 'cause we don't USE 'em!

We just post what everyone wants to hear and then we're DONE for the day!

So don't forget...

Use "NEVER-RAIN-dot-COM", the CHEERY weather forecasters, with the soft creamy-nougat center.

(disclaimer, spoken softly)
"NEVER-RAIN-dot-COM" is not responsible for actual weather conditions or damp vacation days. Void where prohibited. With approved credit. Batteries not included.

** You might MISS them, but you just won't have to WORRY about missing them.

Thanks for posting as I will be leaving next saturday for a week, I havent been during september and was wondering about the rain myself. I guess its just typical weather for this time of year. i can deal with a little bit of rain. as long as i get some sunshine i'll be happy :sunny:

Yep, typical weather. Mostly sunny, then afternoon showers that usually clear right up. Here's wishing all of us traveling to WDW soon, great weather! :sunny:
