The title says is all.

TIA

We went this past year and it was chilly. We wore our winter coats and it was around 50-60 degrees and windy much of the week although we did get some warmer days too. The weather is unpredictable as we have been before in December and had warm weather for the whole time. Sorry, but it is hard to say what it will be like.

I have never been in Dec but am going the first weekend this year. I just talked to a woman at my work and she said it's usually chilly with a few warm days.

Of course if you are up north , it will feel like a heatwave if it's 50 degrees :)

Very unpredictable! We have been during early December three times!

The first time, it was pretty chilly most of our visit, but we did get a few nice warm days. It neve rgot quite warm enough for us to swim, though.

The second time, it was fabulous! Highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. We enjoyed the pools, waterparks, etc. It was perfect!

The last time, we literally FROZE!! It never got about 50 the whole four days we were there! We had to go out and buy hats, scarves, gloves, etc. On the night we did the Christmas party, it was in the low 30s!! They were putting salt around the exit at Splash Mountain where the water from the logs was freezing and causing people to slip. It was pretty miserable.

However, the low crowds, Chirstmas decorations, etc. make it worth the gamble to us, so we will try this time of year again in the future.

Unfortunately anything goes that time of year.On our fist Debember trip in '99 we had lovely warn days and cool evenings that only required a sweater . Needing another Christmas fix we went in 2000. Days weren't
' quite as warm and we were not prepared for the very, very chilly nights. 200l was the worst. Cold during the day and freezing at night with rain on most evenings We always keep a close eye on the forcast before we go, but learned to pack a little bit of everything. Still, it Christmas, it's Disney, What's a little weather.

We were there 12/12-12/17 this past year. Won't go at that time again!! Mittens at WDW is not a good thing. Just plain unnatural. It did get up to about 75 one day, but by 4:00 it was getting chilly again. Mostly is was in the 60's. Jeans and sweatshirt weather. We would bring heavier jackets/gloves with us and rent a locker. That way if we were getting colder with the evening cool off, we could layer. We are going to try the week-end after Thanksgiving into Dec. 1 this year. Hopefully it will be a little warmer.

We've made several early December trips to WDW. Only once has it been unbearably cold--back in '93. Usually it is quite pleasant, if not acutally warm. Typically we are able to wear shorts and long sleeve t-shirts. We also usually bring a fleece or sweatshirt along in case it gets chilly (especially after the sun goes down!) We have been in December when we had to wear shorts and t-shirts every day--very warm, highs in the 80's. Our last trip was cooler than usual. We wore jeans almost every day!

While the weather can be unpredictable, it's not likely that it will acutally be freezing cold!:D

We've gone the first or second week of December the past 6 years. 1998 & 1999 were great, highs in the high 70's, no rain. 2000 was cold, most days were only low 60's, no rain. 2001 was perfect - low 80's, no rain. 2002 was a mix, some warm, some cold but lots of rain (it rained hard non-stop once for over 24 hours). 2003 was a mix, some warm, some cold, just a little rain one night. Overall, it's a great time to go! If colder weather is predicted, bring a light winter coat and gloves for at night.

Our only december trip was the first week of Dec. in 2002. It rained the entire week! It rained so hard while we were at MGM, that the "streets" were just puddles because the storm drains couldn't handle the amount of water. We were drenched, even with ponchos, and our sneakers were just soaked. But we still had fun...it got kind of silly after a while. They said they had more rain that day than they usually have in a month. So bring your rainjackets and ponchos just in case. They did say the weather was not the norm.

I would definitely go again at that time - everything is so beautiful.

I'm guessing the park will be much less crowded during those times then. Am I right?

We went in December 2003 and found that even though it was sunny most days it was still cool (mostly because of the wind). I think the average temperature during the day was about 15 C and at night it was maybe 10 C. So if you're going to be out for the whole day, bring extra sweaters :p

I went 12/6-12/12, and found it pretty cold. Saw only 2 people in SAB. However, one afternoon I thought was rather cold, I ran into 2 Canadians I know wearing their shorts and T-shirts, but I think they said they were going back to their hotel to change into something warmer. But my point in telling you is that it really depends on where you're from as to how "cold" you think it is. 60's during the day, but some nights it got to the 40s. For me that was time to go back to BCV before Illuminations and see what I could from the warmth of my room.

On December 1, the high was 71 and the low was 51. the record high was 86 which we hit back in 1982. Average Humidity is 74% but it can be as high as 100% in December. Last year we had winds of 8-10 mph with gust reaching 15-18. No participation That was just last year.

The middle of December was more like a high of 53 and a low of 44 approx 78% humidity. Still no rain. Knew these charts I was keeping would come in handy some day.
