I am currently in the process of planning a trip to Disneyland and Palm Springs during the first two weeks of December.

I appreciate it may be a pointless question (but I have to think of EVERYTHING when I'm planning :rotfl:) but is it likely to make any difference weather wise if we go to Disneyland first week and Palm Springs the second or the other way around??

I may be overthinking this, but any help is gratefully appreciated :thumbsup2

I wouldn't worry about the weather so much as the potential schedule at DL the first two weeks of December. I would factor in Cast Member parties and the CL Processional first, weather will be what it is.

Palm Springs will be a few degrees warmer (like high of 70) and a bit drier on average in December over Anaheim. Have a magical trip!

You are overthinking it. No way to know at this point. Your best bet if possible is to keep your actual Disney days flexible - check to see what the weather is then go the days with best weather. Being SoCal it is likely the weather will be fine - but that is the time for cold and rain if it is going to be cold and rainy.

:)

Thank you :goodvibes

We are going to be at DL from Mon-Fri so I am not too concerned about the Processional, however I wasn't aware of the CM parties - do they historically fall on certain dates?

Lol, thank you :goodvibes

We will be there for 5 nights/6 days so I am happy to take each day as it comes - we'll be leaving wet and windy England behind, so Disneyland in any weather has a good thing.

I shall calm down on my planning ;)

The last 2 years they have been the second Monday and Tuesday of December. Disneyland closes at 6pm, though DCA stays open later. Prior to the last 2 years they've been the first week right after CP.

First or second week.

I would not have a lot of concern especially during the first week. While this does mean DL closes early 2 nights, you can go to DCA, and with the reasonable crowds that is not a big deal.

Thank you both :)

Am thinking we'll stick with going to Disneyland first and head to Palm Springs the second week.

(We are staying at the VGC and would have had to amend the booking tomorrow).

Thanks for the help :thumbs2
