We will be heading to the 3-night DCL Wonder cruise on Thursday of next week with a huge family. Some of my in-laws has concerns about the weather during the coming week.

Does anyone know how to get an idea about whether there will be any storms or rain in the coming days?

The only weather that I can figure to see is the weather for Orlando....which simply says that there are Thunderstorms....which doesn't bode well for us.

The only tropical storm that I can find on the National Hurricane Center is Tropical Storm Harvey...which ( Thankfully ) is heading out East past the Bahamas.

Anyone else have any early storm warnings that we should be concerned about?

I am PRAYING that there will be very little rain during the cruise at Nassau....and MOST OF ALL at Castaway Cay.

Best suggestion I have is to check out Weather.com or wunderground.com and look for Nassau, Bahamas, then look at the 10 day forecast. That will give you a pretty good idea of what Nassau and Castaway Cay are going to be like.

From a quick look they said isolated and/or scattered thunderstorms. But remember that these are usually short where it rains and then passes on. Not like a "rainy" day where it rains all day.

Bet everyone will have a great time.

I think the forecast for florida and the carribean, every single day during the summer barring hurricanes or tropical storms is:

"High in the upper 80's to low 90's, chance of passing thunderstorms."

It is highly likely it will rain on your trip. It is highly unlikely it will rain the entire time. Tropical climates have frequent storms that pass quickly.

Thanks.....as long as there are no "tropical storm" warnings or hurricane watches....then I think we will be fine.

Am I correct in assuming this?

I checked weather.com and I can't find ANYTHING to be worried about for the coming week when we are out at sea.

The best place to check for hurricanes is the Tropical Prediction Center Tropical Depression Nine is beginning to form but they aren't sure if it will hang together or fall apart and the current guidance has it veering north toward Bermuda. Looks like you'll have beautiful weather for the trip.
