I'll take those temps any day over the 7 inches of snow we are now getting, temperatures in the mid teens (high) and 20-30 mile an hour winds that are expected!

Oh How I wish that I had your "cold"
weather ! LOL !

Everything is relative.

I have had to stand outside, waiting for the bus at 5 degrees below zero, with a wind chill of 30 below.

Do I assume correctly that your "lows" are in the middle of the night?

Boy...you had me scared for a little while. It is amazing what regional differences do to our sense of temperatures!!! ::yes::

Are you kidding me? That sounds like paradise!!! WE'RE ON OUR WAY IN THE MORNING!!! I'm sitting here right now listening to our house about blow off this hill with single digit temps and wind chills well below zero! I can't wait for that wonderful sounding Florida weather!

Sorry, but it was HOT today!!! It was rather nice in the afternoon but this mornin' was hot! Yesterday was the worst. I was ready for a ice bath or something!

Considering there is about 20 inches of snow at home from what I hear I am not ready to start driving home come Friday!

We'll be there next Tuesday and sounds like shorts and tee shirt weather to me.

We were in Florida last week. It was cooler, and we whined a bit. It was mainly in the upper 60's with some rain on a couple days, and very cool nights. HOWEVER, I am now being punished for my whining. I should have realized how good I had it because now in Iowa it is 1 degree. It has snowed almost everyday since we got home, and it is just freezing!!! In Florida I was cold in shorts in the evenings. In Iowa, I am freezing with my jeans, sweatshirt, winter coat, gloves, scarf, hood, etc.

After shoveling 6 inches of snow yesterday, I'll take highs in the 60's and 70's any day! In fact, one thing that I love about my February Disney trips is stepping off the plane at MCO and feeling the warmth and seeing the blue skies and palm trees. I'll take rain and palm trees over the snow any day.

OH!!! That sounds heavenly! It was -36 F on Monday here!!! Right now it is 10 and that even feels warm!! The light at the end of the tunnel is April 7th when we board our plane and head for "the World"!!!

Thanks for the weather update - I am going to rethink my packing for the evenings. Even though the evenings are cooler than I thought - no complaints after days of ice in NC - bring on the 60's and 70's by day!!!!
We're magic bound. :sunny:

That sounds like what we had in December, and it was nice. Mornings and nights were chilly but during the day we were in shorts and even went swimming once.
Considering today is about 20 degrees and this is warm, I woudlnt mind going back to those "cold" temps. ;)

That sounds like precisely the kind of weather I am wishing for about now. Do you think that "cold snap" will hold until March? As for now I am trying to get out of my icy driveway.

January 2001 - 10 days at DW and Universal
The average "high" that week was 61. On our last day, it actually rose to 72 !! We even got to swim in the pool at the WL for a few minutes. I say a few minutes, because right after we got in a kid got very sick in the pool and they had to shut it down for 24 hours.

Yes it was cold - especially after 8-10 hours outside, but the locals stayed away. The parks were empty. A CM at Epcot told us that daily attendance was 50% of normal for that time of the year.

I think that we rode Buzz Lightyear's Spaceranger Spin 12 times in a row one day.

That I am not dealing with "Normal Florida" People when I post about our local weather.;) I am a NATIVE Miamian and HATE to be too cold or too hot!:o :p Yes, I am spoiled........:o Better pack a sweatshirt!:hyper:

My kids are out of school for the FOURTH straight day due to icy roads. Oh, what I would give to be in FL!!! I had wanted to visit during Superbowl weekend, but oldest daughter had a cheerleading competition scheduled for Sat. 1/31, so we made no plans to go anywhere. Not only could we have spent the last week at WDW without missing any school, but the cheerleading competition was cancelled! Oh, well, I guess we'll just have to watch the panthers win the Superbowl from home!

HI
I am from Kent in the UK and last night we had 1 inch of snow and everything has come to a standstill!! schools are closed etc. It has made me laugh because from reading some of your posts people here don't realise how lucky we are here - in the south we hardly ever see snow these days and when it does it causes chaos!!:D :D

we just got back from the world yesterday.
We left 60 degree weather and landed in 20 degree weather with 8 inches of snow on the ground!

The days were nice - a sweatshirt/longsleeved tee in the morning over a short sleeved tee and long shorts were basically what I wore all week. At night it got a bit cooler - so I wore long pants...but it was nice to walk around w/o a jacket on at least!

on monday I think it got up to 80's...broke out my flip flops on that day!

heck - I was in Disney - I was enjoying myself no matter WHAT the weather was!

DH even went swimming at the AKL pool...all by himself on Tuesday night. The pool had steam coming off it and he was the sole person in it.

Pooh, my sister, who is also a Florida resident, calls me up when the weather gets below 70 to complain. She is just plain mean. LOL

I will gladly change places with you until the summer heat arrives.

Slightly Goofy/Linda

::yes:: Temperatures are UP!!! Now it will be 48-52 as lows for the days I mentioned and the highs are 65-77!:bounce: I can handle that!;) No rain for Monday, I will be on a Illuminations Cruise that night!:o
