Hi All,

We're about a month away from our first trip to Florida, and i'm wondering if anyone can recommend a weather app? We are traveling from Australia and I'm aware that we can expect showers and high temps, so which app is good for Disney weather? Preferably with a rain radar or hour by hour forecast?

Thanks :flower3:

I like Dark Sky as well. The alerts of when rain is starting and stopping are almost always on point. Works great with Apple Watch notifications as well.

Their radar isn’t my favorite, but otherwise love the simplicity of the info and notifications.

Dark Sky is amazing. Just downloaded and used it at Disney a week ago. It was spot on at predicting when the rain would start and stop. It did cost 3.00 or 4.00 dollars but it works where ever you go.

I use wftv weather, that's a local channel

Thank you!

I like Dark Sky.

I second Dark Sky! Simple, clear, accurate, and includes at a glance all the details that actually matter on your WDW trip.

Thanks so much Dis'ers, unfortunately it seems Dark Sky isn't available to Aussies in iTunes... i'll have to try to get around that somehow

I use the RainAware app. Of course I use local apps for extended forecast but for immediate weather, I have not found anything close. This app uses your longitude and latitude to pinpoint exactly when the rain will start and it works! I posted somewhere else about the rain last year. We were headed out of frontier land and I opened the app and it said rain starting in a few minutes so I told my wife and kids "let's get to Aloha Isle before the rain starts' and sure enough just as I grabbed us some Dole whips it started raining exactly when it said it would. We were covered and happy. I also use it at home a lot and it's never let me down. And when I say to the minute, it's that accurate.

This is a generic pic I grabbed from Google. The countdown moves it real time.

WeatherBug shows lightning strike locations relative to where you are (which can come in handy at Disney since rides closed depending on how far lightning strikes are being detected)...

Weatherbug for me. Lightning strikes is a great tool plus the radar and other maps are excellent. It does not have the rain prediction tool the other apps mentioned have which sounds nice. Try a few and see what you like, and you can always use a few to combine features.

It's not available for Australians :( Thank you though, it sounds great!
