Hi All,

We will be coming from Australia in October and staying at the CBR. What is the weather like at this time of year and what kind of clothes will we need to pack?

I have never been overseas with a child before and i dont want to forget anything but i also dont want to over pack so i will also be using the laundry while we are there!

We always go in October and find the weather to be just right. During the day, the kids and I are in shorts and t-shirts. At night, we may change into jeans just in case, but plenty of people are seen in shorts even then. It's usually warm enough for the pool but not roasting hot. We may get a passing storm in the afternoon but haven't had any October trips really rained out. It's our favorite time to travel to WDW. Have fun!

We've gone in October several times, and going again this Oct. We've experienced a great variance in the weather. One year was super hot, and hurricane Wilma showed up. One year it was below 40 degrees F each morning at rope drop. My best suggestion is to bring some clothes that you can easily layer. That way you'll be warm if it's chilly, and can peel them off when it warms up.
And hopefully the weather will be just perfect!:good vibes (Hey, it could happen)

We have been in October the last 7 years. The weather is warm during the day (the humidity from summer is mostly gone) and it can cool down at night, but not to the point you are cold. For temps, you are looking at low to mid 80's during the day and 70's at night. It's our favorite time to go.

We usually pack shorts and t-shirts mostly. We bring 2 pants and a sweatshirt. Honestly, I don't remember ever needing the pants (other than for a signature dinner, not due to the weather).

Planning a surprise trip for DD birthday at the start of October. Planning to only need shorts and t-shirts.

Early October is still hot with afternoon storms and showers. Rarely a need for long pants or jackets, but definitely prepare for rain. Later in the month the weather is still warm enough to swim, with fewer storms and cold snaps possible. Hurricanes and tropical storms are still a factor in October, although less likely this year given current El Nino/SO status.
