Any tips on what to pack for clothing. We are coming from Wisconsin and anything above 60 will be balmy to us. Kids think they can live in shorts the whole time. Will we need anything more than a sweatshirt? Will be there over new years for 4 days. Thanks

Well if anything over 60 seems balmy you'll be okay. :) I grew up in the midwest but have been in So Cal for 18 years now and anything UNDER 60 is COLD to me! :)

Check the forecast a couple of days before you go as our weather can vary quite a bit this time of year. We have had COLD weather for us the past few days, highs in the LOW 60s and lows in the low 40s at night. Definitely not shorts weather here. But it's also possible to get warm spells this time of year with highs in the 80s. No matter what, though, nights get VERY COOL here, even in the summer, so bring jackets or sweatshirts and jeans. Also, be prepared for rain.

Have a great time! :)

I'll confirm the dramatic change from the days sometimes it's in the high 70s and the weather.com had some 80 degree days but when the sun goes down it's freezing - I'm from Hawaii so like the last person anything under 70 is cold ha ha. Anyway check out the website. If we're out all day we bring a jacket. Once during Thanksgiving it was so hot during the day I was wearing shorts and tee shirt. Then I forgot and night fell, I almost fell over it was so cold I HAD to go buy a disney sweatshirt just to get back to the hotel!!
Have fun, we'll be there the week of Christmas and New Year's and we have compact jackets for the cold nights in the backpacks!

Being from Saskatchewan, I can relate to the anything over 60 is balmy comment! We just came back last week and the weather can be quite cool in the evening. My DH did OK with just a sweatshirt but I needed a spring coat from about 4 pm on. We never wore shorts at all while we were there but were quite comfortable during the day in short sleeves. I would pack shorts just in case but I would make sure you at least have a jacket or something with you just in case. We brought our coats to the parks and rented a locker so we didn't have to lug them around during the day but could pull them out later in the afternoon.
