Pulled up the weather forecast for our trip Dec 2-4 and we are forecasted to have 30% chance of showers Fri and Sat (Dec 2 and 3) and sunny on Sun., Dec 4. Any guesses/thoughts/experiences with how this might effect crowd levels? Last year we went the week after Christmas-CRAZY crowded!!! But on one day it poured and the place was "walk onto rides" quiet. Will gray skies and sprinkles work just as well?

That weekend is going to be busy no matter what because of the Candlelight Processional. I wouldn't count on any rain with just a predicted 30% chance. Gray skies aren't going to keep people away either.

Even if it won't be slow, first two weeks in December seriously is very enjoyable. So I'm guessing now until about December 18th will be good. Rain should keep the crowds away but not occasional sprinkles. :santa:

Thanks for the help. We're going earlier in the hopes of avoiding some crowds yet still enjoy all the Christmas ambience-plus my 40th birthday is on the 3rd! I thought from reading the boards that the candlelight procession wasn't until the night of the 4th? Do that many people come all weekend for it? I had the impression that it wasn't a highly promoted event more for die hards and those in the know.:confused3

We've gone several years in a row during this time (CP weekend) and are going same days next week and really enjoy this time of the month -- the crowds are not too bad enough to keep us away. You'll still be able to enjoy the parks and the Christmas ambiance.

Weather.com has Friday at 65 degrees with rain, Saturday at 63 and sunny, and Sunday 63 and sunny. While accuweather.com has Friday 72 and sunny, Saturday 71 and sunny, and Sunday 67 and sunny.

We'll be there at the same time too. I'm so excited! I bought rain ponchos just in case we need them but hope we won't. :) I like accuweather's outlook!!!!

Unless its changed this year CP is Saturday and Sunday. Just steer clear of main street.

We are going at that same time! Can't wait! We went two years ago during the same weekend and it poured the ENTIRE time. We still had fun and got VERY used to all of the rides being walk on. When we went back the following May it was difficult to get used to the lines.

Here's to good weather and Christmas merriment at the happiest place on earth!:santa:
