Wearing skort to dinner?

FOJMO, Isn't fun watching all our fashions from our childhood come back! Makes me feel old. Here is another term for skort, scooter skirt. Remember that one? How about hot pants? My sister was also sent home from junior high back in the late 60's because her skirt was 1/2" too short above the knee. Also sandals were a no-no unless you had on hose. Ah those were the days. I must admit, I do like the dress codes on cruise ships. Kathy

TECDAVIDT -- YES, I remember scooter skirts, too! When I talk about stuff like that, I DO feel old! In fact, I'm turning the big 5-0 this Friday (the 13th, no less -- how appropriate!).

That story about your sister reminded me of when I went to Disneyland back in 1971 with a girlfriend of mine. It was out first big trip without family after we graduated from HS. We had no car and we went to Disneyland on the shuttle from the hotel. I was not allowed to enter the park because I was wearing HOT PANTS & a HALTER TOP! We had to take the shuttle back to the hotel for me to change and return to the park. I was mortified! And when I see what they wear NOW to the parks....

I even worked with a girl a few years ago who asked me what I meant when I said "before pantyhose." ???????!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

FOJMO, you are just 6 mo. older than my sister! Yes I remember hotpants and halter tops. I didn't realize Disneyland had a dresscode back then. Now you will see swimsuits and shorts at the parks! Kathy
