Hi,

Am i right in thinking princess dresses etc are really expensive in DLRP?

If that is the case i had thought about buying them off ebay before we go and taking them with us as a surprise for my 2 daughters aged 4 and 7.

Do children wear them throughout the day or just at character meals?

If it is all day would they look ridiculous dressed up on Eurostar as we are using the express luggage service at the DLH so are going straight to the parks.

I know i probably worry too much but dont want my oldest getting embarrased (or my husband more like!!)

Thanks funnymum

yes they are crazy prices especially if you have three girls. they start at 45 euro and go up to 70. i would definately buy them beforehand. kids wear the dresses all day so dont worry you wont stick out. actually i found that if kids are dressed up watching the parades the characters are more likely to come over to them.

Hi, I'd definitey agree to buy the dresses in the UK. I haven't been to DLPR yet (going in May ) but my DD 3yrs is princess mad, she has all the dresses but I am planning on buying her a new cinderella one for her birthday (which is when we are in Disney) and I was in the Disney store yesterday and the reversible cinderella/sleeping beauty one I was looking at was 45 Euros or £25 - bear in mind the euro and pound are almost 1 for 1 at the moment and your getting a great deal here.

As the others have said, if you can get them before you go I'd definitely recommend it. Although saying that the dresses in DLP are absolutely gorgeous.

My DD bought herself one of the 70E when we were there last month. There were loads of the 45E ones half price and I was really trying to talk her into getting one of them instead, but she was determined and it was her own money. It is absolutely gorgeous though, such good quality and the attention to detail is amazing.

Kids wear their Disney costumes all day (and sometimes every day :goodvibes ) in DLRP.

the kids definately get more attention from the characters in the parade if they are dressed up while watching. They just stand out more and the characters will come and shake their hand and wave. With the weather not being too warm at the moment it does spoil the fancy dress effect with coats over the top. I have custom painted special disney jeans for my girls with all their favourite characters. Last time we went i custom made jeans with minnie mouse fabric frills on the bottom and matching top which minnie made a great fuss of and cruella took quite a liking to much to the girls horror

My DD always wears her Princess dresses in DLP, matter of fact i have one for every day we go in September lol.

They are not the ones that WDW sell, though I did see in September last year they had the old Belle WDW dress in DLP. I personally perfer the WDW princess dresses than the DLP ones.
