just because that is what it means, does not mean that the kids are doing it. think about when you were young. you would try to fit in. kids are the same these days. i would venture to bet that most kids wearing the pull tabs have not "earned" them. not being naive, just realistic.

I saw the title to this thread and thought, oh man! i can't say what it really means, this is the disboards. though I do remember that i gave one to this boy i liked and told him that he could redeem it for a kiss. the next day he came to my house and asked if he could use it. we dated for 4 years. ah, memories

Wow, I was in high school from 80-84, when it was still uncool to even sleep with your boyfriend, let alone everyone in the school. Since when did it become cool to be a tramp? What happened to girls that they just don't care anymore and think it's okay for boys to use them? When I was a teen the worst you worried about was a disease or pregnancy, now they should be worrying about dying.
