Wearing baby on rides

I have heard conflicting reports about being able to wear a baby on the rides. Our carriers are facing in (tummy to tummy) since our twins are only 3 months and don't have perfect head control yet. Will we have to take them out for every ride? Its relatively easy to get them out, but a pain if we have to do it over and over.

Someone else probably has more recent experience, but I was allowed to wear my baby on all rides as of April 2013. We did try holding him without the carrier a few times, but it didn't feel as safe. Even the most gentle rides were rougher than I had anticipated.

I wore on a few and took him out for a few last week. But at my discretion. Except for TSMM. They wanted him out and his legs under the bar.

My son is 5 now; but I wore him on several rides on our first trip. I did take him out on some but he was at a different stage than yours. He was 10 months old and spinning himself crazy trying to see stuff.

I wore my DD on a ton of rides last week. Some facing out some facing in. But I did not ride TSMM so I can't speak for that one. Some I held her but most my husband or I wore her.

Have a blast!

I've taken babies in carriers on just about every ride without a height restriction in WDW, including TSMM. No one has ever asked me to remove them. I use an Ergo, which has them facing in.

I've never been with a baby under 5 months old. I don't know if I'd do TSMM with a baby that young. The good news is that the jerky parts are easy to predict, since you aren't moving at all for a lot of the ride, and you can give their heads extra support. I absolutely wouldn't ride that ride if they wouldn't let me use the carrier.

My daughter was 7.5 months on our November 2013 trip. I was allowed to leave her in our Boba on a lot of rides, but they wanted the child out to wear the seatbelt on the carrousel. I don't think I attempted TSMM with the carrier.

At 9 months, I took my baby on several rides in the carrier, and several just holding her in my lap. The only ones I would steer clear from being that your baby's are so young would be Toy Story Midway Mania and the safari. Toy story can be very jerky and spins, and the Safari can be rather bumpy. I took my daughter in the carrier on Toy Story and instead of enjoying the ride, I found myself holding her little head against my chest to keep her from jerking around too much. If there is no height restriction, you will be able to baby wear them on the ride.

I wore my 6 month old on all rides in February including TSMM. No issues whatsoever but I didn't go on the carousel. I didn't find the safari to be very bumpy or jerky.

We had the same issue as a PP with the carousel. I argued with the CM for like 2 minutes and then finally gave up and just took my daughter out and put her on a horse with the darn seatbelt. It was so dumb. I then had to make sure 2 kids didn't fall off their horses when the baby would have been totally fine in my Tula. She was 11 1/2 months old.

Now that it has been mentioned, I do remember having that happen at the carousel on our first trip. My son didn't want to get on a horse. He cried. I ended up putting him on with my daughter and holding him there. I was kind of frustrated; but then my daughter turned around with a huge grin, put her arm around him and said, "Isn't this fun? We're so blessed to be here!" and I forgot about what happened.

The only ride I had an issue was the carousel. They did say I could sit if I wanted to keep the baby in the carrier, but I could not ride a horse or stand in between horses. I have taken a 5 week old (DS 2009), a 4 month old (DD 2012) and a 4 week old (DD 2014). TSMM I was not required to remove the 4 week old in September 2014.

Went last December and when my 18 month old daughter fell asleep on me (a few times) they let me wear her through rides with no issues, and she is a lot bigger. Hope your trip goes well!

I sat on the carousel and kept DD in the carrier, I didn't ride a horse it was on the the non moving benches. I didn't want to deal with taking her out.... Next time

Was your daughter on your front or back? My 18 month old son is small, but not really small enough for front carries (I only do that when he is not feeling well and wants to be cuddled) so I was thinking that there would be lots of putting him up and getting him down during our upcoming trip. Are there any rides where he might be able to stay on my back?

I was just holding her against me. I didn't use a carrier for her, just the stroller, so if she fell asleep while waiting in line for a ride, I would just let her sleep against me during the ride and never had any issues. She slept through Haunted Mansion twice hahaha. Staying on your back might be a little trickier.

I don't think logistically it would work on most rides with a child on your back. They're going to want you sitting safely and buckled or lap belted in, which you won't be able to do with a toddler behind you. I don't think you'd be able to sit sidewise or anything to avoid squishing him. Sorry!

Just be sure you don't drown them in sweat! I can't imagine "wearing" a child on me in the Orlando heat at Disney.

Only ride I was asked to remove baby from carrier was Dumbo. Everything else was fine!!!

The only ride I had an issue was the carousel! They would not let me keep her in the carrier unless we sat in the carriage seating. I was not allowed to stand up next to my 3 year old on the horse with younger one in the carrier. My 3 year old was crushed (daddy was with the older 2 at 7DMT and couldn't take the baby) but when she started shedding tears the cast member graciously gave us a free FP to any ride in the park for 3 or 4, good for the rest of the month- pretty much like a child swap but it was hand written. But no problem on Peter Pan, Small World, Ariel, and I am sure others that I can not think of.
