WEAR MY WEDDING GOWN to OHANA's???

Hello Ladies:

I am so excited about my dress. There are no pictures of it online so I will have to wait until the wedding is over to show you all.

Its a NEW Oleg Cassini Dress Style # CV189. Its a TEST DRESS and there are only 6 of them TOTAL. Orlando Davids Bridal got 3 dresses and Houston, TX got 3 dresses.

It is so GORGEOUS!!! I can't wait.

How many of you intimate brides wore your dress to dinner afterwards???
I would really love to...but do you think Ohana's is too casual for that???

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

It is your wedding day, if you want to wear your dress to O'hana's, then go ahead and wear it!!

After our renewal on May 1, I will be wearing my dress to 1900 Park Fare for Cinderella's Gala Feast. Not sure how I'm going to manage at the buffet--but I'm sure my wonderful DH will be glad to bring me food!

You only get to wear it one day! It's not the type of garment you can put on and take a trip to the mall or grocery store. You get this one day to wear it and then it gets boxed up or bagged until you take it out for nostalgic purposes. Who cares if it's more casual... it's YOUR wedding day!

On a wonderful day in July my husband and I said our vows at Sunset Pointe with family and friends watching. We then went to O'Hanas for dinner immediately after with me in my dress. I had a great time with all the congratulations and the smiles and watching little girls faces light up. One example: At the end of the meal I had to go to the bathroom so I got up and went and two or three little girls stopped me before I could go in and asked me if I was a real bride. I said yes I was and they got all giggly I finally got into the bathroom and waited for the handicap stall and these little girls said they were going to help me. Ummm ok anyway they "guarded" the door of the stall which I had very carefully locked and when somebody would walk in they would tell the people that there was a real bride using the bathroom. I was rolling!! Anyway do my business and go our to wash my hands and the little girls hold up the back of my dress so that it wouldn't get wet (to sweet) and when I reached for papertowels one of the girls had them for me already. They opened the door for me and scampered back to their table and told their mom that I was a real bride. LOL! It was a wonderful memory for us just iwith that but it got better as we left because their mom stopped me and told me Congratulations and that I had made their daughters trip even more magical and to thank me for letting them help. They were so excited and just jumping in their seats. I faintly remember them asking to take a picture with me and I did so very quickly because we were on our way to the Grand One for a special fireworks cruise in my gown.

Ok so back to your question should you wear your dress to O'Hanas by all means, absolutely! I hope it creates as many wonderful memories for you as it did for us.

That sounds so sweet! i personally would wear you dress, on my wedding day i would even wear my dress to macdonalds - who cares like everyone has said its you 1 day make the most of it!

I would say where your dress. Now I have a question for everyone, if you have a VR offsite, can you wear your dress to a restaurant?

Yes, you can wear your dress to any Disney restaurant that is not in a theme park. We had our vow renewal at Leu Gardens in Orlando and had lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe and dinner at Citricos. I wore my gown to both.

Wear your dress!!!!!! I wore my wedding dress to the Yachtsman Steakhouse after our wedding in October this year and didn't feel out of place at all.

Of course you should wear it! You'll get lots of congratulations and have a wonderful time. I wore mine to the Yachtsman Steakhouse and it was fun.

Since we went straight from the wedding pavillion to our dining venue (O'hana's), we all wore our wedding attire. I did take off my veil. But, that was just my choice.

I would highly recommend O'hanas as it was fun and intimate at the same time. As the evening progressed, the lights were dimmed and caused a romantic feeling to occur. WE had a fabulous time!

I wasn't sure at first either, but after reading that other brides did it, I'm wearing mine to Ohana, too!!!

Then again, my friends and I did wear our sequined dresses to dinner at Taco Bell before the prom...

Just rock that dress with a little confidence and you'll feel amazing anywhere you go!

Our wedding was at Sunset Pointe at 9am and we took our pictures and our entire party went up to Ohana for breakfast, gown, tuxes and everything! We had great character interaction and we even have pictures with Mickey and the gang in our wedding attire. Of course they are in tropical outfits, but it fits our Poly wedding!

So go ahead---wear the dress and have fun!!
