Weakest excuse made to a CM

What is the weakest excuse you've heard made to a cast member. While waiting for the Spectromagic Parade, we were by the Frontierland bridge. They rope this off for the parade. One guy was trying to cross and they told him," Sorry, have to go around." He had a child on his shoulders and told them," But I have this kid on my shoulders." Like the kid was some sort of tumor or something. Needless to say, he didn't get to cross the bridge!! :rotfl:

:lmao:
I keep hearing that line from the movie Kindergarten Cop -- Maybe it's a tumor. And Arnold replying, "No it's not a tumor!"

The one that stands out to me was a father with a small son wanting a refund at Guest Services early afternoon at Animal Kingdom. He wanted a refund because they did not enjoy the park.
Yeah -- I hated the park so much it took me HOURS to realize it! :dance3: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I was behind an elderly couple at guest relations in Epcot. They had purchased a one-day ticket at MK while intending to go to Epcot. They were confused...they thought everyone had to park and buy tickets at MK.

Evidently they entered MK, then realized they were in the wrong park and took the monorail over to Epcot.

I kind of felt sorry for them.

Leaving the Dinosaur ride with her hysterical child, a mother told a CM "I thought this was a lazy river type ride?". Um, maybe it's just me - anybody else see any water?

Of course, I had ridden next to the hysterical child and saw the mother force her to ride. I was almost in tears myself. Once the mom even said, "Okay, you don't have to ride. We'll just get in this jeep and go find Daddy." Dad was with them and the child was about 10. :sad2: I really think this woman thought the rest of the world was stupid.

:rotfl2: I was sorry about couple who purchased wrong tickets though. :goodvibes

On one of our visits to AK we waited in line to ride dinosaur. After waiting for the line to move on through the maze and watching the movie we finally got to the end and right where they put you in line to be seated the man in front of us flags down the CM and tells him "We don't want to ride a ride, we want the restaurant." :confused3

Ooh boy, I could almost write a book with excuses. Here are some:

*I have to see ___, my plane leaves in an hour (well then, you just missed your flight)

*I am from Australia, you have to let me get in line. (actually got that one)

*You can't take them in, they will stay dry there (I was with the Tweedles at the Teacups, and they were standing under a tree. And where is the worst place to stand in a storm? )

Near the train station at MK
CM: Sir, the nearest smoking section is right over there.
Guest: It's okay, I'm leaving.

Huh? To her credit, she told him he needed to put it out immediately. And he complied.

We were at Epcot by America and there is a handicapped area marked off for Illuminations. While waiting there we talked to a very friendly CM. We asked what was the funniest thing he heard. One time he had a family of 11 try to get in the marked off area. He told them that was too many and he could fit 4 people in the area. The woman cried and told him,"I hope you're happy. You're trying to split my family and ruin our vacation." The roped off area had sections on both sides where the rest of the family could stand but they just wanted to be in that area. I don't get some people! :confused3
