We WON the Fox-LA Disneyland Trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe this!!!!!!!!!

We had entered my email address and my husband's email address. Low and behold, this morning he received an email stating that he WON!

I was driving when he called me, so I couldn't write anything down. From what I remember, he said it's a 2-day parkhopper, one night hotel, and a character meal. We have to use it, I think he said by September...I don't remember what the exact date was...I was just screaming because we won!!!!

I'll get more info when he gets home from work, but OMG! We WON! I now have to figure out when to go!!! Weekend or weekday? Mid-summer or wait until the heat breaks? Tomorrow? LOL!

We have a cheapie overnight trip planned for June 14-16 (when our SoCal passes are expiring), so I may actually do the free trip in September. Where hubby is a teacher, I'll probably schedule it during the weekend so he doesn't have to take any time from school...and the kids as well. Maybe even Labor Day weekend????? Hmmmm!!!

I'm seriously on Cloud 9 right now! We've been so tight with money lately, this will be such a nice treat for us!

Congratulations! Thanks for letting us/me know, Nanseev! (I posted the link and info on the contest.) This was for Round 2, I assume, with the 'Salmon' question from the other day?? You should post this over in my original thread about the contest too ("California DIS-ers...." - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=32011618#post32011618) in hopes that maybe the winner of Round 1 will jump in and let us know they won! I wasn't sure who all had entered at this point, and the winner of Round 2 was supposed to be notified next Tuesday, but the sooner they let you know, the better! We still don't know who won Round 1!

One of these days I will win one of these contests I post links for!

This was definitely for Round 2. I had actually fogotten to enter in Round 1 (I was working that day). My husband was the one who *officially* won...I had sent him the link to his email to enter.

DH was notified via email with an attachment on the email...so those of you with tight spam blockers may want to keep that in mind for future contests. The form is basically a waiver, etc. saying that we don't work for Disney/Fox, etc. what we won, and all of the legalities.

A few specifics:

1. The Sponsor gets to pick which Disney property we get for a room.

2. Must be used by Sept. 25th.

3. Nothing in the title of the email indicated "winner", just release form. We weren't told we were winners until we opened the email.

I'm sooo excited! My kids will be in absolute heaven!

Well, Mike (Pooh'sTwin), who won Round 1 of the Fox holiday contest I posted the details on in 2008, said that they chose the DLH for him, and the character meal was Goofy's, I believe. It seems as though they just give you the character meal at whichever hotel they put you in, and the hotel is based on availability and which dates you pick. They gave him certain choices for dates to pick, I think he said, and he ended up with February. And he had to go back and forth with Fox/Disney for about two weeks getting red tape taken care of, from what I recall. So I am guessing you will get DLH and Goofy's as well.

How exciting!! I'm so happy for you!!

My babysitters just won the Grand Prize trip to go see the American Idol finale shows (Tues and Weds) plus a $500 Visa Gift Card, plus free hotel/airfare for 3 nights PLUS THE FREAKING AMERICAN IDOL limited edition (only 10 made!) FORD FUSION!! That's the VEHICLE, folks!!! With the built in Ipod/docking station, and built in screens on the backs of the headrests with the microphones so that you can karyoke in the freakin' car!! UNREAL!! (my kids will never want to get out of that thing after they pick them up in it from preschool/school! LOL!)
And they even have pictures of themselves with Danny Goeke, and a lot of the other top 10, since they got to go to the after party too!!!

So, the point it, people REALLY do win these things! I'm so glad you told us about it, so we could all celebrate with you! YEAH!!
