We were Upgraded at WL!

We were upgraded at WL from standard to pool view. However, pool view can be loud! We could also hear the boat horns all the time. Otherwise, we loved the WL!

How does that work? i just booked our April '08 vacation and reserved a woods view bunk bed room, but thought about changing it to courtyard... was your upgrade free or did you have to pay the difference when you checked in??

We stayed at the WL a couple of weeks ago and also got an upgrade from Standard to Courtyard View! I didn't ask about an upgrade a check-in, I guess we were just lucky! It was a wonderful treat when we opened the curtain and saw the fabulous view! We didn't have to pay any extra, I think if you ask for an upgrade they may charge you.

That seems like a hit or miss kind of deal.. i am almost contemplating changing our ressie to be sure of our view... dh and i will eb celebrating our 10th anniversary in april as well as it being ds's 9th bday while we are there - does disney ever 'magically' upgrade for things like this? it asked if there were any special occasions during our stay... does this qualify??

Our upgrade was free but we were not told. We just walked to the room and opened the curtains. I could tell it wasn't standard after that .
