We were SO close.............!!!!

We just returned from the May 22 Western. Had a great time (but I think we like the Eastern a bit better.).

For those of you that remember, we were hiding the cruise form our kids for as long as possible. We made it to about 6 p.m. on friday before they figured it out. It would have been a bit longer, except the flight from Midway our other family members were on was delayed about an hour. Our kids just could NOT figure out why, after spending the day at AK, & checking in to a 2 bedroom suite at SSR ("hey, we wanted to use our DVC points, & this is all that was available........." ), we were shopping AT THE AIRPORT........ for 2 HOURS!!!!

After they saw our other travelers, they put the clues together in about 30 seconds. My DD was actually in tears. My DS "knew it all along" (yea, right).


Bujt the REAL reason for this post is that my DD got selected to play "Mouseketeer" at the late show on teusday. Since she is under 18, I had to go play with her (yes, it was a burden, but.......
sometimes ya' gotta sacrifice for family)

We managed to guess, bluff, lifeline (& yes, we actually knew some of the answers.........) to the last question. We had already won a $400 shipboard credit, but htere was NO WAY we were not going to take a shot at winning a 7 night cruise.

BTW, afterwards, everyone that came up to us said that NONE of them knew the answer.

WOW , well done, did you still get the $400 , i would never have known the answer but it is infact hayley mills, whose first film was tiger bay , she was signed by disney straight after receiving an award for it.

Yes, it was Hayley Mills.

We got sidetracked due to an earlier question in the evening about Hayley Mills' first DISNEY film (Pollyanna), so when we saw her name again , we immediately ruled her out. I KNEW it wasn't Jodie Foster (but then again, I KNEW it was not Hayley Mills), so it was a tossup between John Ritter & Micheal J. Fox. We guessed John Ritter.

Ooops.

Oh well.

We did win a $175 credit. Better than a kick in the teeth. And my DD got a special pin.
