We went used car shopping and ended up with.....

.....a brand new car! Hard to believe we were going to buy our first used car and ended up with a brand spanking new car, but we did and boy what an EXCELLENT deal we got!!! Hooray for model year end clearance sales....we saved $6,000! Oh, forgot to mention what we bought, we got a 2004 Ford Taurus SE V6and all for only $18 more a month than what we were looking at for used Hondas and Toyotas!

Thanks, Lois. I know it isn't the Honda, but when that fell through we had to make other plans and we just didn't care for the used Honda's we test drove. Once DH is retired next year and on to his next year we may look into replacing the van with a new Honda, but for now this is great. Hoping your Honda is fixed and back on the road again.

Sometimes the new car deals are just too good to pass up.

Several years ago my Mom totaled her car two days before our vacation to Italy. She gave my brother an amount for a good used car. When we came back she had a new Honda for just a little more. (My brother and I were willing to split the additional cost if she whined)

We rented a Sunfire a couple of weeks ago, it was a nice car with a lot of pep. We drove it to Baltimore and back and we got some really good gas mileage. Enjoy your new car!!

Enjoy the new car! Year-end deals are great, aren't they? A few years back I got a great price on the "current" year model Camaro when I bought it on...December 31! LOL! The only car I've bought with 12 miles on it.

... picking up our new Yukond Denali XL on Tuesday! We were going to wait until Nov/Dec, but weren't sure about availablility of the options we want and the the financial incentives then.

Ended up at invoice, $1000 cash back, 60 mos 0% interest. We could have gotten $5k + cash, but financed with interest. It was better for us to take the free money over 60 mos.
