We have been to WDW many times and hopefully will be there many more times in the future!! I am surprising my movie-fan hubby with a trip to southern CA next year and we plan to do studio tours and Hollywood stuff. I also am planning some time at Disneyland of course!! We've never been there and, more than likely, won't make it out there again. Our daughter will be 8 when we go. Anyway, my question is do you think 3 days at Disneyland will be enough time?

You can do a lot in 3 days and get a great overview of the parks. There are more rides in DL's 2 parks than in wdw's 4 so you may not ride everything but I think it's a good amount of time. Also if there is a ride in DL that is also at WDW don't necessarily skip it due to time... DL tends to have the superior version like POTC and HM.

3 days is a good amount of time. Both parks are pretty big - but they are so close it's easy to hop back and forth between the two. I would focus more on the rides that are not at WDW like Matterhorn, Cars Land, California Screamin' etc. But I also agree with the PP, some DL rides are superior (I personally like It's a Small World better at DL). Make sure you go through Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough... it's so cool! Enjoy I really loved DLR.

You should be able to ride pretty much everything in 3 days. That is usually how long we go. There is an awesome thread over on the Disneyland board for Disney world vets. I highly suggest checking it out.

I agree, 3 days would be sufficient. As much as I love WDW I must agree that some of the rides are superior (not by much though!)

Yes 3 days is more than enough... also there was just a post on wdwprepschool for wdw vets going to DL. If you can swing it, I suggest going in late Sept / October. The halloween decorations are AWESOME.... and I love the Nightmare Before Xmas version of Haunted Mansion.
