This is our first cruise ever, we picked the Wish for 4 nights going to Nassau and CC in February. I do get motion sickness. The cabin I chose was midship OV but the only thing available was deck 2. Is this deck ok? We don't have kids going and I was concerned with the noise. The only other choice would be inside cabin on decks 8 and 9. Thoughts..... I would have picked balcony but budget, and we are doing a few nights at Universal to before the cruise.

Midship, lower deck, with access to view the horizon is the recommended spot to avoid motion sickness on a cruise ship. I think you picked a good spot.

I suggest you start motion sickness medicine a day or two before you get to Universal and keep taking it through the cruise. We use Bonine since it is supposed to be non-drowsy. The Simpsons ride was the only one that made me queasy. The second time we rode it (DS10 loved it) I just closed my eyes and it was fine.

Mid deck two should be a really good place for you as far as motion. As already mentioned, please start your motion, sickness meds a few days before boarding. It works much better as a preventative.

I use non-drowsy Dramamine (not less drowsy, but non-drowsy, which are basically ginger pills) in the morning, and Bonine at night (it can make me a little sleepy).

If you start to feel sick on the cruise, I suggest heading out to deck four midship look at the horizon out in the fresh air. The crew also swears by green apples and while they are not on the menu or the room service menu, they will absolutely bring them to you at meals and to your room if you’re not feeling well.

You picked the perfect cabin! The lower the better. I was on Deck 1 once and felt no movement. Enjoy!
I am pretty sure the Wish class does not have cabins on Deck 1. Nor does the Dream or Fantasy. I think the Magic and Wonder are the only ships with deck 1 rooms.
