:cool1: We need to find a rental car company that we can drop off and then pick back up at the cruise line...we leave this Saturday! Thanks, Gary

Budget worked great for us, too.

Check out Dave's site: www.dcltribute.com for info on rental agencies close to port. Also check out www.mousesavers.com for codes used to get great deals on the rental. Be sure to compare against whatever savings you can get online via the rental's website.

Another happy Budget customer here!!! :) They are located on A1A near the Radisson, and their office is listed as CC5 on their website.

Yup, Budget too, but we just paid the $40 to park at the port instead of dropping it off/picking it up

Did you then have to pay Budget for the days you were on your cruise?

Hello there - this is Shirley - here is an update on car rentals. We have Hertz'
car rental which is located about 2 miles South of the port - they will match or beat any other rates and also have free pick up and delivery service - you can call 321-783-7771 and ask for Andrea or Jody for help. We also are opened on Port of call until disembarkment. Hope that this will help for those looking for a rental car for whatever reasons.
If Norm or I can help in any of the above issue, put drop a note to snelsonbrown@aol.com
Always
Shirley

Yes, we did. I tried to call up and get a rate for the 4 days before the cruise and the 4 days after the cruise and it was not cheaper than renting it for the full 12 days, even with the $40 fee to park the car in the DCL lot.
I also used a Costco discount AND Costco had a tiny coupon inside their magazine for a Free Tank O' Gas! (WooHoo!)
Check your options and see which one comes out cheaper.

I had Budget booked to pick up this Saturday and drop Sunday AM. Then another to pick up next Thursday and keep until the following Saturday. 1 day before the cruise and 3 days after the cruise would cost us $155.

All of a sudden I had an epiphany and decided to check out weekly rentals. I got a National Intermediate car for $109 for the week including tax!! I have Emerald Aisle so we can pick our car, no waiting and there is a $20 off coupon on the web. We are staying at the Radisson Saturday night so parking is free. :cool1:

That's amazing! Great research on your behalf! I'm going to have to remember this for next time. :sunny:
