I don't recall Chris Harrison really asking Andi about what went down on the final episode. Doesn't he usually ask the Bachelors/Bachelorettes if they are happy or if they are in love? Maybe I missed it. I wasn't really paying attention.

I ff'd thru so much of it I didn't notice. I also expected them to tell who the next Bachelor is.

I was lucky last night.
I missed the first 45 minutes.
If I'd been really lucky I would've missed the whole thing.
Even the bloopers were boring.

That's why I dvr'd it and ff'd thru most of it. They really wasted a LOT of those hours.

JJ is an opportunist and decided to share the info about Andrew when it suited him. However, I think Andrew MUST have said something along the lines of what JJ said, because he looked scared when Chris Harrison announced that they had a clip of it. He also looked relieved that there was no audio. Too bad they wasted so much time on it and never got a chance to talk to some of the other guys.

Yes, he looked like he was going to mess his pants when they mentioned they had it on tape. TOO BAD no audio but his face said it all!

I was hoping to find out too. Maybe we'll find out on the After the Final Rose special. I'm still hoping it will be Chris, but after so much time was spent on Marquel last night, I'm wondering if he'll be the next Bachelor.

I am not an Andrew fan, but I believe JJ is scum. He was looking to cause trouble for Andrew and he succeeded. Even if the girl gave Andrew her number, what guy would not brag about it? And, sorry, but I don't get the Marquel love. Ron, yes! Tonight JJ is acting like a teenage girl.

JJ is not a nice person. If he was truly as good a friend to Marquel as he professes to be, why on earth would he have told Marquel something like that, knowing it would only hurt him? Especially when it can't be proven. If he was a real friend, and if Andrew really said that, JJ should have confronted Andrew privately. Telling Marquel only accomplished making Marquel feel badly.

I was waiting for that question too! He usually asks if they are in love, and engaged. There was nothing. Very strange episode.

That whole thing was weird. If Andrew really did NOT say the racist remark, he should have stood up and been very PLAIN and VOCAL: "I. Did. NOT. Say. That. Racist. Remark." He should have done everything he could to make it clear and fix his reputation.

Even Marquel pointed out he kept skirting around the issue.

I have a feeling Andrew might have said "black guys" not "blackies," which still isn't nice, and he's embarrassed that he pointed that out, (some people are into "blondes.") But, IMO, that's not as bad as saying "blackies" which is definitely racist.

But, also, according to the other guys, JJ is scum. So the truth is somewhere in between.


I also don't get all the Marquel love. While very warm & personable, he seems very "soft" to me.

I too think the answer is somewhere in between. I am not defending Andrew or what he said but I can see that remark, "black guys", coming from a white guys reaction to a frustration with what they see as an affirmative action type situation. I think these shows are under pressure to have more minority cast members in order to improve their ratings. And I do think there is a big scripted component to most reality shows. I don't agree with Andrew but I can see a conceited guy (and I think all of these guys are) thinking that there is some reason you might not be chosen besides maybe you you aren't that great. He should have had enough sense not to say it out loud.

I think they will announce it at the "finale" of Bachelor in Paradise. Shooting of the Bachelor is still several months away,

A couple of former contestants (including Sean) tweeted about this. They all claim that if they had video of it, they had audio of it. Apparently, contestants are miked the WHOLE time. So, the contestants believe there IS audio. I'm betting that it is either inconclusive, OR shows clearly that he said "black GUYS" and that didn't support their "story line."

Black GUYS makes more sense. Anyone checks what a person is INTO and wonders if she is even interested in who you are.

I loved the way Marquel handled it, like a gentleman. He is not my type by a long shot, though, dresses like a clown.
