We need a Bachelorette thread!

I guess it's all relative on where one lives and what one is used to. In L.A. and NYC, an hour to an hour & a half commute to work is normal. And now, with all the hands free gadgets one can have in the car, Andi can get quite a lot of work done while driving. She can do dictation, call her assistant on the cell phone, listen to court briefs, etc.
It's a little over an hour in the best of times. Add snow, ice & poorly plowed roads and the ride becomes 90-120 minutes each way. I guess that maybe she could rent an apartment and go home on the weekends :confused3.

That's nice. Thanks for not sharing :happytv:.

In case you are new to these threads, we do NOT post or discuss spoilers in the main, The Bachelor(ette) threads. Usually the OP puts it in the thread title around now, just to be clear.

You CAN start another thread titled that you do want to discuss Bachelorette spoilers if you want. :goodvibes There are usually a couple other people who also read the spoilers, but not many. And some get accidentally spoiled just Googling for other stuff. :headache: It's hard not to accidentally read spoilers when you get down to the final 6. :badpc:

Oh I won't post anything. I stumbled on some stuff about tonight and couldn't help myself.

It's easy to do :goodvibes. I spoiled myself more than once on this show. I just don't google the names of the contestants and I'm fine.

Yeah, you could be looking up a shrimp recipe, and if the Bachelorette had shrimp in an episode, suddenly there will be some article or ad for the show in a column off to the side. And your eye goes to it, like following a train wreck. Before you realize it, you just read a spoiler. :badpc:

In the scene where they are at C Harrison's house grieving after hearing the news, who was outside consoling Andy? Was it Marcus? Whoever it was had his arm around Andi and was consoling her.

I really like chris. But I have wanted to be a farmer. Andi not so much.

Nick just rubs me the wrong way. Almost like he is acting? And he is not my type.

I'm still hoping it's Chris. His family was so funny, but I guess you have to be if you live in the middle of nowhere.

And yes it was Marcus with his arm around her outside the house.

This show made me cry tonight. Them finding out about Eric tonight was heartbreaking. How difficult that must have been.

I loved the interaction with Andi and Chris' family. Chris is my favorite. I'm really hoping that it's him in the end. I think they would be great together. His family is so down to earth. From the little bit we got to see of them, they really do seem like amazing people.

I cried too. I really liked her dates with Nick and Chris the best. I never saw her with Marcus at the end, he obviously felt much more for her than she for him. If I had to pick now, I'd say she picks Nick at the end. I think she would love being a part of Chris' family if he lived a bit closer to where she could work. I don't see her meshing well with Josh's family long term.

I was thinking the same thing. I really liked Nick's family as well as Chris'. But I liked Chris' mom the best.

I too don't see Andi with Chris. Though she claims to enjoy the outdoors, come winter I don't think that she will want to be out in the middle of nowhere.

I'm not sure about Josh. They do focus too much on sports. And like the younger sister said, there will be fighting over it.

As far as Marcus, I did like him but his hometown date seemed shorter than the others. I could see her picking Marcus just because of where he lived.

At this point I think her best pick would be Nick. I haven't cared for him but I really liked his hometown date.

Last night's show was the best of the season. No drama, no controversies, just nice families then a respectful time out for Eric. :sad1:

Nick's family, wow! So many people and they were adorable. How'd the snake become a part of it? :confused3 His youngest sister was the star, adorable :cloud9:

Chris' family and farm and HOUSE... love this guy. If he isn't the next bachelor I'll eat my hay! :cheer2:

Marcus, she kept mentioning he is HOT, which he is, but I saw NO connection at all.

Josh... she's nuts about this guy. I believe the slight controversy with Aaron was a publicity stunt and a way to give us reasonable doubt that she will pick him. She flirts with him and aDORES him...it's so obvious. And the booty shorts sealed the deal.:lmao:

Josh's dad is a hunk, too.

The Eric Hill segment was amazing. Loved the part when the production people put down their equipment and came on camera. So sad... :guilty:

Does anyone else think it was strange how none of the guys got up to hug Andi? I think the crew consoled her more than any of the guys. Strange if they have such "love" for her.And Nick just seemed bored, no emotion.

Did anyone else see Marcus' zipper down after his ridiculous striptease? LOL

The fact that Josh is still around makes me think he is the one. He seems like nothing substantial on the show so he has got to be behind the scenes awesome to still be around. I'm sticking with my wierdo vibe I get from Nick. I asked my husband if he would mind me marrying Chris.:rotfl2:

Yea, I thought that was weird as well. They could have all just been in shock and didn't know how to react.

I didn't notice that about Marcus!

Chris' family and farm and HOUSE... love this guy. If he isn't the next bachelor I'll eat my hay! :cheer2:

Loved Nick's little sis and LOL about the house. I found it hilarious that she couldn't believe he owned a house. Like OMG. SHUT UP! It's yours?? If he isn't the one, I hope he will be the Bachelor. There has to be some woman out there that wouldn't mind being a homemaker on a farm.

I'd LOVE to be a homemaker on Chris' farm! But my husband might have something to say about that, hehe.

hehehe mine too.

Chris gets my vote for the next bachelor. Andi's reaction to him having a home...and nice one at that was funny. Chris is a man with an established business and life. Hopefully he finds somebody to share it with.
Andi could run a small law practice out of the house. I don't think she is farm wife material.

If you watch the scene again, you will see that Nick started crying pretty quickly after the announcement and the other guys didn't show a lot of emotion. I also thought it was strange how four guys in love did not go over to hug Andi or talk to her.

Josh is still around because of the whole atl thing. I couldn't believe no one noticed how nick reacted when hearing the news, he looked bored or distracted.
I didn't like andi's facial expressions when they were talking about the brother and his football stuff.

Her facial expressions seem odd or out of place a lot of the time. She looks like she is pouting. It takes a lot to make her smile.

Great minds think alike, and obviously we all have great minds :rotfl:

I don't think she will, and hope she doesn't, pick Chris because he seems groomed to be the next Bachelor (of course, I never would have called out Andi as the next Bachelorette, so what do I know). Like many of you, I also would live a plural marriage, and allow myself to be called a cougar (heck, I'd get the tattoo) to be able to marry Chris;).

Maybe I'm a conspiracist, but I thought Andi looked visibly upset when she walked into the room to hear the news about Eric's death. Could they possibly have told her ahead of time, or just warned her that it was going to be bad news of some kind?

Nick's hometown "date" seemed totally fake to me. My family is all from SE of Milwaukee, and it seems as though an advance scounting crew from the show picked out all the locations that would make for an amusing date. Also, when the crew was hugging and crying with everyone else, he seemed noticeably left out.

I'm putting my money on her choosing Josh. The whole brother thing seemed like a big fakeout. And how big is his parents house that they only showed the door when they pulled up? Privacy issues?

I was holding it together pretty well, until they put down the camera and the whole crew got involved in the hugging and crying part. Then, I lost it. They must really get attached to each other, I would think...

Part of me hoped she wouldn't send anyone home that night, since I knew who it was apt to be, and he's had so much personal tragedy in the past...

Best episode in a long, long time...

Terri

Nick makes my skin crawl in a creepy way. The fashion scarves need to go.

Does Josh live with his parents? Seems like the boys sports is the family focus.

Marcus...seems ok but there's no chemistry between him and Andi.
